Iâm not quite sure what Belk in Monroe North Carolina is doing to the store or why they donât have enough employees on the floor. I stood in the cosmetic department for 25 minutes waiting for someone to help me. Why would a customer have to wait for so long? I went ahead and helped myselfđ I do not work for EstĂ©e Lauder, but gave myself a mini facial and tested to make up, lipstick, etc. I had in hand approximately $450 worth of items~ TO PURCHASE, (commission đČ), but once again no one in the cosmetic area to assist me AND no one in the fragrance area to assist me. One employee was working in the jewelry section, and was unpacking boxes. She was not waiting on anyone. One person was in the womenâs clothing and seven people were waiting in line for one clerk. I turned and saw another customer who was there before me and she was still waiting to check out in the cosmetics, I assured her no one was coming, but she continue to wait. She had the patience of a saint. I walked to the clerk who was in the jewelry department, and I asked her if shr could please check me out at her counter. Her response, (not joking), âI get off work in five minutes, you will have to go stand in line over there.â It wouldâve took her three minutes, at most. She could still leave on time, but no, she was not having it. She directed me somewhere else. I directed myself back to the cosmetic department, I put my items down and I left the store. What just happened? Not only did they lose revenue today they lost me as a customer. When I left that one customer was still standing at the EstĂ©e Lauder counter (40 mins. Still counting). I donât know why someone would wait that long, more power to her. I guess she really wanted to get that lipstick. I hope she got it and I hope Belk gets my review...
Read moreterrible experience today! We had one item that we wanted to buy, all the lines in the store we really long. Every worker that was working at the cash register had no intentions of moving fast for the long lines that they had. Went to one of the cashiers in the beauty section and were told we canât purchase a clothing item there and we had to move to another line that was super long. In this line a women wanted to return clothes but the lady at the register didnât know how to do it. She tried calling several different managers at the store and none of them picked up so that was an even longer wait. When the manager finally showed up to help she apologized for the lines taking so long and proceeded to tell us we could check out at the beauty section weâre before we were told we were not aloud. GET THE COMMUNICATION RIGHT AND DONT HAVE 80 year olds working at the check out that are slow as snails!!! At the end of the day we ended up being in the store for 33 mins to buy one thing that we knew exactly where it was in the store....
Read moreI wish I could give this location more stars but itâs true what everyone is sayingâseverely understaffed and doesnât even provide its older and disabled employees a chair to sit on while working the register. Miss Patricia was very sweet and worked as quickly as she could despite being the only register available on that side of the store. To her, Iâd give 10 stars.
I also want to point out that I wish the store enforced a strong âNo Pets Allowedâ policy; during my last visit to the store, there was a woman with a bad tan pushing around a golden doodle-looking dog. The dog was better behaved than its owner, because when asked to find a different register due to allergies (I am severely asthmatic and no, I do not believe golden doodles are hypoallergenic simply due to previous experiences), the pet owner was downright rude and bigoted. Disgusting behavior from an ignorant, low-educated individual. Please enforce stronger policies so that we can avoid more of these types of...
