This is a buyer beware post - 2 stars because they did the right thing but the dishonesty along the way is why I am writing this post. We bought a New 2021 North Trail 33BKSS (vin # 5SFNB3723ME452779, stock #NT416 so if they resale this I hope the new owner sees it) from Monroe Open Road. The buying process was relatively smooth. Chris was very nice and spent a lot of time talking to my husband. We had worked into the deal for them to install an electric fireplace to the RV, and because of the demand we were looking at PDI 3-4 weeks out. Ok, no problem. In the meantime we financed through a bank the dealer got us a better rate than ours, and the loan was processed and money in hand to the dealer prior to us even getting the RV. We were supposed to pick up Saturday 5/1/21. On Thursday, Jeff in service called us to say we had to push the back the PDI because āa tech called out sickā and things snowballed so he will call us to reschedule. Now, Jeff kept giving us different prices for a quote for WDH hitch and was trying to say the retail price was the price with the 10%discount and $50 gift certificate. My husband went into the store on Friday to purchase some things for the RV, clarify the price for the hitch, and talk to the manager about Jeff being dishonest re: pricing. He met Jeff at the service center, who proceeded to say again the tech called out sick. When the manager talked to my husband about the hitch, he let slip that there was TWO MASSIVE WATER LEAKS In our trailers and thatās why the inspection was pushed back. JEFF BLATANTLY LIED, TWICE. The manager (Ryan I believe) was not very apologetic and lacked any sort of problem solving ambition. The entire trailer was torn apart and definitely shouldnāt have been considered new anymore. The fireplace (included) and extra coating we paid for wasnāt even done and they had the trailer for a month. When my husband asked if we hadnāt stopped in and found this out, would they have told us that there was the water leaks? Ryan, manager, said they donāt tell people unless they ask what was done. IF YOU BUY. FROM HERE, ASK WHAT WAS DONE!!!!!!! After a lot of back and forth between my husband and I, we decided we were gonna do anything to get out of this deal because if they lied about the damage then we werenāt able to trust it to be fixed. Saturday 5/1 my brother and husband went into the dealer, looked over the trailer and there was water pouring out of the underside (material on underbelly). This trailer would have to be mostly ripped apart and rebuilt (at least I hope they do this.) Ultimately, the owner Steve and someone else my husband wasnāt sure his role, approved a reversal of the loan. In our state, technically they didnāt have to do that with the contract we signed - but he said because we were lied too it was the right thing to do. Itās because the owner made things right that I give it two stars. We knew trailers have problems but this was a massive problem that we almost unknowingly took on.
Bottom line IF YOU BUY FROM HERE, DOTHE PDI PRIOR TO GIVING ANY MONEY OR SIGNING THE PAPERS. 2.ASK FOR A BREAKDOWN OF ANY REPAIRS THAT ARE COMPLETED ON YOUR TRAILER AFTER BUYING SINCE THEIR MANAGER SAID STANDARD PRACTICE IS āDONāT TELL...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am thrilled to share my outstanding experience with Open Road RV Center in Monroe, Washington. Having purchased my 2024 Thor Aria 3401 in late June, I chose to wait until today, November 2, 2024, to write this review to offer a comprehensive account of my journey with this exceptional dealership and its great people. From my initial meeting with Wes in April, I have been consistently impressed with every aspect of Open Road RV Center's sales, service, parts, and support teams. Wesās low-pressure sales approach was greatly appreciated by both my wife Lisa and me. He ensured that we felt like VIP customers from the start, creating an atmosphere of trust and respect. If you are looking to buy a travel trailer or RV, make sure to ask for Wes! Pam, Wesās mom and colleague in sales, also continues to play a significant role in our positive experience, reinforcing the VIP treatment. When it came time to sign the papers, Kevin, the finance manager, made us feel comfortable by explaining every detail of the contract, finance options, add-ons, and warranty services. We never felt pressured during the paperwork process, and Kevin was patient, trustworthy, transparent, and collaborative throughout. The exceptional service continued with Jim, the Service Manager, whose straightforward advice and candor were invaluable as we navigated the timeline and approach to addressing warranty repair items before driving off the lot. Karen, who inspected the coach and created the punch list of items to be addressed, also ensured complete satisfaction, making the process smooth and stress-free. Jim and I even discovered a shared passion for mountain biking and plan to ride together soon! Even after the purchase in late June, the service team has been exemplary. Dmitry and Jeffrey, our Customer Service Managers, +Jim continue to be super responsive, providing advice on upgrades I wanted, shared continuous status updates while my coach was in the shop, and allow generous remote phone support when needed. A special mention goes to Stan, the lead mechanic at Open Road RV Center. Stanās expertise and dedication to his craft have continually impressed me. From our first meeting in April where I peppered Stan 100's of technical pre-sales questions about Thor RVs to the recent resolution of a loose power issue he fixed at no cost, no questions. The lead mechanic is the backbone of any dealership, and Stanās dedication to customer service and satisfaction sets the bar high. In conclusion, my experience with everyone (even if not mentioned by name) at Open Road RV Center has been phenomenal. Their unwavering commitment to excellence in sales, service, parts, and support has made me a very satisfied customer. I highly recommend Open Road RV Center in Monroe, Washington, to anyone seeking a top-notch RV dealership. Thank you, Open Road RV Center Team, for making our RV ownership experience so enjoyable and fulfilling. THANK YOU - Joe and Lisa #RVLife #ThorAria #OpenRoadRV #CustomerSatisfaction #RVAdventures...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHello to everyone at my favorite RV shop & dealership. I'm sorry to take so long for my review. Iām still recovering from the traumatic ordeal you all just helped me through & still working on getting settled in my wonderful new 2026 Forest River EVO travel trailer. Bear with me, it's a long but true story.
As a 71yo grandma, Iāve been a full-time RVer for 9 years in the Aspen Trail I purchased at Open Road RV Monroe in 2017. In September, I limped back to home base with a punch list of much needed repairs starting with a slide-out topper & stabilizer jacks. So began my grand adventure with Josh & Dimitri in Service. They quickly determined my slide-out was water-damaged & not salvageable. Dimitri broke the news that I had some big decisions to make. He listened carefully & presented an option I jumped at. Since this was right before the Fall Blowout Sale, he encouraged me to find out what I might be able to finance at a good price.
My next Open Road heroes include Pam in Sales, Heather in Finance & Jim et al in Parts & Service. My credit rating allowed me to consider new or lightly used trailers. Pam showed me my options, including my new 26-FR-EVO. She patiently answered my questions while Heather worked her financial magic. Meanwhile, Jim walked me through parts & add-ons. Next was the onerous paperwork sign-off. Heather put in extra time at the end of her long day patiently answering my questions and wrapping it up.
This all happened very quickly. I was exhausted & basically homeless - living out of a motel & my truck. Jim scheduled my walk-through ASAP, but I still had to figure out how to get my belongings from my old trailer to my new one. Again, Jim, Josh, Dimitri, Roger et al, stepped in & took care of me. They parked both trailers next to each other in the shop. While they were prepping the new trailer, they allowed me to come in & pack my belongings as best I could. Walk-through and pick-up with Roger went very well. He even arranged to have some volunteers help move my belongings to my new EVO.
I was finally on the road again, but upon arrival at my uniquely unlevel campsite, I was unable to unhook with the new hitch & weight distribution system. Dimitri & Josh continued to help me through a very tricky situation - what I call a conundrum, but otherwise known as a āChinese finger puzzle." They absolutely went way above and beyond to help resolve it. They even arranged to swap out the new hitch system with the one I was familiar with. Thank you!
Iām very grateful for the excellent customer service I received from everyone I met at Open Road RV in Monroe. I met a lot more professional and caring people than I mentioned ā you know who you are. Thank you all for picking me up and helping me back out on what is possibly my last dance with the open road (pun intended). I will absolutely recommend Open Road RV in Monroe every chance I get.
PS - I love my new...
