We were traveling from out of town coming back from the tulip festival and decided to stop by for some coffee. As we walked in there was a woman with red hair talking with an older bald man talking about how she was going to be the next mayor of Monroe. The store itself is gorgeous they really did a great job with the whole atmosphere, it felt very warm and welcoming and reminded me of a cozy log cabin. When we stood in line we were never welcomed or acknowledged. They just kept talking and talking about promoting her brand (because insert your own assumptions here). We lingered and walked around the whole store for what felt like forever but was more like 10 minutes. Not once did they look our way to even try and grace us with their presence. Was it because it was a slow day and they had already started to clean up and pack for the day? Maybe. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but itās hard to get over the what felt like purposeful ignoring by way of nauseating giggling and flirting over their potential power trip. I really wanted to try the cinnamon rolls, the pictures Iāve seen make me think I would want them more than once but it never happened. Also it was cold out yo and I just wanted a nice little chai tea latte. So yeah whatever, this is just one personās opinion and experience. I might not be from the state but I know if I ever visit Washington again I will avoid Monroe because of this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first time in there today 1.4.22, my first drink was a chai tea latte and was good! The lady who helped me was very friendly.
On my way out I ordered a 20oz drip coffee, I asked for a inch and half of cream and was told I would be charged more due to the cost of milk, I said that was fine. She tried to tell me that an americano would be better due to the amount of cream I want. I said that would be fine I guess. She asked if I wanted sugar and I said 8 packets, which was apparently ridiculous. She told me there was a shortage and was kind of rude about me getting 8 packets. I said forget it I will add the sugar at home. Ended up getting liquid sugar instead. While making my coffee she whispered to the other lady working and said she couldnāt believe I got 8 sugars. Overall very disappointed in this place. I didnāt think I would have to argue about how I like my coffee. I like to support local but will not be returning. $8 for a coffee and cookie - just ridiculous. I can go to Starbucks and get a cookie and same size coffee for cheaper and not have to deal with attitude about my cream and sugar. The only reason for the 3 stars is because the chai was good and the lady who helped me the first time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm not sure how I feel after going here, so I'll just recount my experience. I bought an iced latte. It was good. I know they say they're a coffee place and not a food place, but they're selection of food was slim. However, they did have Costco poppyseed muffins which I like. So that was ok. The door says that masks are required, and I put mine on, but when I went inside, there were three workers and two customers, and four of the five (one worker exception) had their masks off. The two other workers put theirs on when I entered and the two customers were probably shipping on coffee so that makes sense, but I didn't feel very comfortable eating inside. They had outdoor seating, but it had rained an hour or two before, and they hadn't wiped them off. That would have been nice gesture for those if us who are more COVID fearful. So I sat on a dry rock and enjoyed my snack. Over all it was an...
