Wagner Performing Arts Center — Attraction in Monroe

Dissapointment with the school DISTRICT because for years they said they would provide enough funds to support a new sound system but the school hasn't received it yet. While my friend was performing their a part of the light fixtures behind the stage fell down. This school needs to be renovated like the middle school and it pisses me off the district...

I give this grand old theater 3 stars because it is a little rough around the edges at the moment. But you can see the grandness just waiting to burst out! Meanwhile, the sound is fabulous! You can hear the actors without amplifiers. Hopefully, soon, I can bump the star numbers up! MAC has some grand plans! Stay tuned. Meanwhile, go...

A great old theater, with a classic acoustic. You really don't see (or hear) places like this any more. It's clear there has been a lot of restoration work over the years. The chairs are original, though, and can pose problems to some. Still, well worth the opportunity to experience an early 20th century...
