I have been to J. C. Penney's Department store in Monroeville approximately 4 times in the last 3 weeks. I cannot believe all of the great sales and discounted merchandise they offered. There is a vast array of merchandise for men, women, children, petites, tall and plus sized individuals. They also sell everything from furniture, bedding and bath accessories, shoes, fragrances, jewelry, luggage, health and beauty products, various clothing and other novelty sports items from all of Pittsburgh's sporting teams, coats for the family and large and small electronic items. Styles offered are both trendy and modern. They also have a full service hair salon in the store. I bought several pairs of woman's leggings of assorted colors that were originally twenty dollars on sale for four dollars. I also purchased puffer jackets that cost seventy two dollars for twenty dollars apiece!!! Crazy good deals... Sale prices do change regularly either from a few days to weekly, and you should check your Sunday newspaper for frequent coupons that are worth the time. Penney's also has a phone app that includes the same coupons as the paper and will conveniently scan the barcode on your phone for your discount. How easy is that? I recently purchased a nice sized dog bed made with Sherpa, originally thirty dollars, for only five dollars!!! I keep going back for more. Just in time for the holidays. I highly recommend Penney's Department store to all people and the store is also friendly to those using wheelchairs. I did take note that although store entrance from the mall is very easy for someone using a wheelchair, the access from the parking lot may be more difficult as the doors are very heavy and are not automatic. If there is a button to open the door, I didn't see it. Penney's has separate public restrooms for men and women. There is ample free parking and there is sufficient spaces assigned for handicapped parking. People of all ages and families with children are welcome, however, you may want to keep a close eye on young children for own their safety...
Read moreI was disappointed with the Monroeville mall JCPenney tonight (9/7/18). First we had an item at checkout that didn't have a price tag attached. The customer service representative told us that she couldn't sell it to us unless we went back to get one with a tag on it. I've been in this situation several times in the past (at other department stores) and usually they can call back to the area to get assistance on price/upc number. Secondly, I parked outside the JCPenney, and at ~8:55 pm, the metal gate between the store and the mall was closed with no one there to assist customers to exit through the store. I had to try to slide the gate open so that I could get my stroller through, meanwhile the mall doesn't close until 9 pm. This was the worst customer service I've had at a thriving...
Read moreI wasn't pleased with the floor sales Associate who wouldn't ask Management for a price check. I found a bolero that didn't have a matching dress. I looked in my size to see if the dress was on the clearance rack since the bolero had a pink sticker on it. There wasn't a matching item. I asked an Associate nearby and she said the bolero could not be sold alone. She said the item would be taken to another area and was not be sold. Other Penney's sell items without a match. Not this woman who was so task oriented and not interested in profiting the organization. The Sales Associate who totaled my merchandise was very friendly and extremely helpful. Her name was Misty. She made my experience at Penney's positive. This employee was definitely results oriented and not...
