Sarku Japan — Restaurant in Monroeville

Don’t get me wrong. The food here is amazing and I love that they cook in front of you. I just experienced it for the first time today. They fill the containers very high. You definitely get your moneys worth. Where it went wrong, was when I went to pick up my food off of their counter in the box, it’s so thin that with the amount of food, it snapped in half spilling all of the meat that I just bought. I didn’t want to make a scene, and I kind of felt awkward saying anything but they saw all my food fell out right in front of me and laughed. I then got back in line and I didn’t wanna ask for anything free so I was like hi would I be able to just order another side of beef? They are all still laughing. They charge me $10 and give me chicken and I explain to them that I wanted beef like I had on my meal and they said that this was beef it was not beef pollo was written on it which means chicken and it is chicken. This is why my experience was bad. Sad to say that if they just would’ve been kind and said we could remake that for you, no problem or even charge me just a couple dollars for a small side and gave me what I asked for. Idk what happened....

I ordered the shrimp and beef meal with fried rice. The added vegetables were a nice surprise/bonus, very delicious meal. I suppose the transport from there with a delivery service provider to me-caused the plate to shake a little and all the components on the platter are mixed together 😂 at least it’s still edible and delicious, thanks. I’ve ordered a few times and there’s always a xtra sauce and a fork or eating utensil placed in the bag, thanks so much for this. This meal actually fills me up every time, I wish u had a wider selection for drink choices (delivery)… ✅Also I’d like to thank you for caring so much about ur customer, you staple the brown paper bag so that the meal is safely delivered, this is so important to me, thanks for that added protection with delivery orders. Overall good...

This establishment has very poor customer service and management skills. After the way I was treated rudely after spending money there over a miscommunication of a transaction, I asked for a refund and had security called on me because I spoke up for myself and did not tolerate the disrespect. I rarely go the mall but when I do I do not eat in the food court. I prefer the places that surround it. Was there with family and wouldnt have been there otherwise. I will NEVER go back to that Sarku Japan!! & would NEVER recommend you do it either. There are 2 similar food places in the food court that serve similar food. Do yourself a favor...
