I went today to get the deal that they have. Dollar General is known for their $5 off and other coupon discount. My transaction did not show the $5 off and when I asked the cashier (Karina) she was very helpful, then she brought it up to an assistant manager (Hailey) who claimed to be the MANAGER. She did not know what she was doing. She was lazy to assist. Had a bad attitude, bad customer service. I asked if she can assist like give me store credit because I usually come back to the same store. She said no, she can't do it. I asked if she can call the one above her, she said no because he is off and at home. She already was giving so much attitude and excuses.
I had to ask for another person in charge. Luckily, another assistant manager (Glen) was able to helped me. Glen called the corporate to assist with the issue. Hailey was hiding the whole time. Glen then told Hailey to call the manager to approve the credit.
In the end, they gave me the credit but wasted so much time because of one employee being lazy with so much attitude. Not sure how she became the...

There was an issue with the coupon redemption on the app during checkout, I asked Beatrice to get a manager to help, she ignored my request. Kept saying nothing she could do about it, which is a lie since other associates have helped in a nice manner before.
