SKN — Local services in Montclair

I honestly cannot recommend SKN Montclair enough. 7 months ago I walked into Kate's spa with horrible cystic acne (I've struggled with acne my entire life and have tried everything under the sun). I was hesitant to go because I had a very negative facial experience at a popular Montclair spa, but before I even walked into the room Kate asked me about my skin history and was I was looking for in this skin journey. Kate truly cares about her clients. She recommended a trusted dermatologist to me, a new skincare routine, and other products to try ll to help me with my acne. 7 months later, I see her once a month and it is honestly the best hour of my month! Her spa is so relaxing, her facial massage is just so peaceful and wonderful and Kate herself is like having a friend who will exchange the best skincare tips in the world. Kate is the perfect balance of professional trust and friendly comfortness (which is so important as having a facial is a very intimate experience). Thanks to all of Kate's facials and recommendations, my cystic acne has completely healed and we are now just working on cleaning up the scars and leftover inflammation. She is the best of the best. I’m honestly in shock about how much improvement my face has made after just one facial with Kate. I’ve had on and off acne around my chin area for years and recently it was getting BAD. So red, and around my period I had those big under the skin painful pimples that seriously never went away, and would just crop up month after month just after finally going down. I’m horrible with touching my face and it was so red I hated leaving the house without covering it up. It was a mess. I went to see Kate who I’m actually friends with. After a year of being open I finally went to SKN and I really don’t know why I waited so long. She did a ton of extractions which I really needed, she used the ozone treatment, and also did a chemical peel. I wish I had before and after pictures because it’s been over 3 weeks and I’ve barely had a single small pimple, the redness on my face has gone down by 80% and the scarring by 70% . No hormonal acne this month. All 3 treatments were absolutely necessary in their own way and I now see why. Go see this skin angel from above. Don’t wait for it to get bad like I did!!! I’ve been going to SKN Montclair for 2 and a half years now. I fell in love not only with the results of the facials but the place/owner itself. Kate does an amazing job. She is always on time, professional, and her warm personality makes you feel very comfortable. From the moment you enter a feeling of calmness and peace take over. Kate knows my skin. She is extremely knowledgable and is available for questions even when you are not at the office for an appointment. I recently tried a chemical peel for the first time. I was nervous since I had never done it and have heard stories from friends of mine about their face burning/peeling for days. After trying it I could not be happier! My skin is glowing and looks so smooth. I will definitely be doing a chemical peel again due to these results. SKN has helped me feel comfortable in my skin and go around without make up on.
