Vesta Chocolate — Restaurant in Montclair

Finally got a chance to visit Vesta to grab some sweets and was so satisfied!

I had their six pack sea salt chocolate chip cookies and they were delicious! The cookies were soft and had good quality chocolate chips which were rich in flavor and complimented well with the sea salt. I also tried a slice of their basque cheesecake which had such beautiful flavor. It was silky creamy and had that nice chocolate ganache on the top with a tiny gold flake. I actually liked that there wasnt much chocolate on top as it would have taken over the entire cheesecake flavor.

There are other items such as their brownies, barks and hot coco. You could tell these items were of very good standards. The truffles were so elegant looking and looked perfect for gift giving. The bag our orders came in with was so presentable that its like Vesta is the Tiffany and Co. of chocolates! They are pricey for such small desserts but I’am aware that here its quality over quantity and its also for that experience of premium quality small batch chocolates.

I had to knock off one star unfortunately as I didnt have the best experience with the latte my husband ordered. I know coffee is supposed to be hot okay but the one he got was just piping hot. Having tried so many lattes in so many different cafes I understand that that it has to be at a right temperature where its hot but can still be readily drinkable. But regardless, I would love to be back as I have been eyeing their iced mocha latte. Hopefully some time during...

Everything at Vesta is thoughtfully curated for a truly spectacular chocolate experience. The first thing you notice when you enter Vesta is the huge vault door; the property used to be a bank. The vault now contains gift items like chocolate packages and tasteful ceramics.

My favorite products at Vesta currently are their phenomenal vegan chocolate bars: Matcha Oat, Golden Latte, and Goji Hibiscus Rose. I can't believe they're vegan. So creamy and good! Vesta's bonbons are also so colorful and fun. I love to send them as gifts to friends. I recently got Vesta's Cacao Zen Garden, a sweet mini zen garden complete with mini gardening tools and healing stones. It's so soothing to keep this fragrant centerpiece on my desk while I work. It's a nice little reminder to take care of mental health and embrace the sweet things in life.

Vesta's owners Julia and Roger are passionate about sharing chocolate knowledge with their customers and getting people as excited about the process as they are. I was first introduced to Vesta Chocolate during their soft opening around January 2020. What I like the most about their shop is the quality of the ingredients that are used on their confections. Chocolate is made right on their premises ALWAYS FRESH REAL BEAN to BAR. The Brownies and Chocolate chip cookies are to die for!! It's almost impossible choose between the two of them. The Chocolate Chip cookies are crisp on the edges and chewy on the inside, deliciously buttery and the Chocolate Chunks provide these cookies with great chocolate flavor. On the other hand you have a super moist, fudgy, melt in your mouth brownies with a strong chocolate flavor and the aroma of it is amazingly beautiful. They also have a variety of cold drinks, coffee and cold treats; my favorite is the Matcha Affogato. Last but not least, Their Magical Butterfly Lemonade its an experience everyone should try.
