I have been to Java Love on several occasions and have found the coffee to be fairly decent. It’s certainly not the best, but it is more than adequate. Today I placed an order for two simple iced coffees. I handed over my credit card to complete the transaction and was asked by the associate if I would like to add a tip to the card (it is their policy that during COVID customers are not allowed to handle the device to add tips electronically). I understand that baristas work for tips – sometimes I add a tip, sometimes I don’t, contingent upon the level of service and complexity of my order. However, I do not appreciate being put on the spot to do so. Strike one. There was a cash tip jar on the table that I could have used should I have elected to tip. As soon as I told the server not to add a tip, I detected a marked change in the level of service. She told me that she would call me when the order was ready so I stepped aside and sat down. There were two people working, they weren’t helping anybody else at the time, and my order was quite simple. After several minutes I hadn’t heard anything so I got up to check the counter – the coffees were just sitting there and I hadn’t been notified. Strike two. I looked at the cups to see which one contained whole milk and which one contained oat milk and found two charming drawings, presumably reflecting their annoyance with my reluctance to tip. Strike three.

I will never patronize this establishment in the future. I should have stuck to my original plan and gotten my coffee around the corner at Jackie’s Grillette, where the service is always friendly, I can tip (or not) without pressure, and the coffee is far superior. I won’t make the same...

I love the service here. I don't come here often enough but the level of customer service here is impressive. Even during this pandemic they are still welcoming and friendly while doing their best to social distance. I'll admit I was sent the wrong order once and the staff went out there way to ensure that not only was I sent the correct order in a timely manner but I even had someone calle back to apologise for the error. Yes no one is perfect but the lengths they went to correct an order won overy loyalty because most business won't have taken their personal time to call to ensure I was satisfied after a simple mistake. Its almost impossible for me to go out and just grab a snack due to my gluten-free and milk free diet but this place offers a Lemon Poppyseed Donut that rivals any donut. They are so delicious you would never know they are gluten free and vegan without asking. They are definitely a must try if your in the area for breakfast or just out looking for a great cup of coffee. You will not regret...

Java Love has become a usual stop before a morning park walk. I will always come back when I have a good service experience and I’ve never been greeted with anything less than the best here (no matter how frazzled I feel). I love that they roast their own beans and are environmentally conscious and will fill up my reusable cup- this was the first time I asked in an effort I reduce my own waste. I’m not enough of a connoisseur to say where their roasts rate against others. What I can say is that the seasonal creations are a great way to try something new and exciting. Also, any coffee store needs to have a selection of pastries and sweet thing to drink with a black coffee and they do! They have a selection of croissants as well as a nice variety for those with special diets and healthier options like chia...

Great place and drinks despite its compact size. The atmosphere radiates positive energy with thoughtful decor. The service was efficient as the drinks were delivered promptly. Their chai latte is well balanced without being overly sweet. What truly makes java love coffee bar special is the vibrant yet comfortable ambience that encourages productivity and relaxation, making it an ideal spot for coffee enthusiasts seeking quality beverages in a welcoming space.
