While sharing time between my two sons and their activities this weekend, I made it a point to visit the store. My son will receive a Rolex watch for his upcoming college graduation. While he is very opinionated about the watch that he would like, I wanted to make sure that it wouldnāt be too big. Upon arriving, DeeDee greeted me with warmth and a friendly smile. She gladly showed me a Rolex to help me understand the sizing. My son met me a few minutes later. He was very pleased to be able to try on a few watches and discuss the differences with DeeDee. He also told us that he didnāt think that he could try them on because earlier in the day, Thelma refused to show him and his dad any. I was very surprised to learn this since I had just encountered a great salesperson who was so helpful. I didnāt even know that they had gone shopping! They were doing research too. DeeDee has me considering a Rolex for myself (though I do love my Breitling!) and I will definitely want to work with her again. Upon leaving, my son told me that Thelma wouldnāt even discuss the Deep Sea with them. She simply replied, āThereās a waiting list for those.ā He was very glad that he returned this evening and Iām so glad that he met me at the store and had a great experience instead of dismissing them all together. Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday, I walked in Ware Jewelers of Montgomery, and asked if I could get my Tag Heuer watch battery replaced. The sales associate lady said (and other sales ladies in the store concurred) that they only replace batteries of watches of customers of their store. #1-I had purchased a ring there a few months ago. #2-I was the only customer in the store. #3-We own the Volvo dealership in Montgomery and Mobile, and we service other trucks from other companies. After the shockingly rude treatment, I left and was able to not only get my battery replaced from a jeweler close by, but was able to find a Christmas present to purchase while waiting on the service. So, to say the least, I cannot believe a retail store would turn away a customer. I would fire everyone of those women in that store if I was the owner. Their staff is very knowledgable and are always willing to take the time in order to assist me in finding the perfect gift. In fact, it is this personable approach that keeps me coming back.
