This was the worst experience I've ever had at Kohl's and will not be back to the Moore store. I ordered via the app for a curbside pickup. I normally go to the Midwest City store but the Moore store is the only one that had what I wanted in stock. I received a text telling me it was ready for pickup, when I got to the store and found the curbside pickup spots the app wouldn't let me check in and said my package was available for self-pickup. I chose curbside because I have an injury and have problems walking. I had to go in, all the way to the back of the store, locate and pick up my package, and back to my car. When I opened the bag to wear the pair of shoes I purchased the security tag was still on it and the left shoe was the only one in the box. Called to see what I needed to do to get their screwup fixed and was told I had to come back in. When I asked about someone meeting me at the curbside pickup area I was told they do not have curbside pickup and I had to come in. When I went in there were 2 people in front of me and stood for over 5 minutes with other workers standing around in the area and not helping. Someone finally came to help, I gave her the package and explained what happened, and she took the security tag off and handed it back to me. You could tell she didn't pay attention to anything I said. I had to say again I need the other shoe. They called someone to get the other shoe and I waited again for about 20 minutes. When they brought the other shoe the customer service person was nowhere to be found so they handed me the box and I had to reach over the counter to get the other shoe and a bag. Through all of this, there was never an apology they acted like it was my fault or problem. Better customer service is definitely needed at...
Read moreI understand the sales clerks at the checkout probably make a commission for guests who agree to join their rewards/card program, but I felt pretty uncomfortable. Just seemed very pushy about it. Wouldn't take "no thanks" for an answer, felt like I had to explain myself further. The clerk commented that if it was credit-related not to worry about that, and it was not credit-related, I just didn't want to join the program. My credit is pretty good, and for the clerk to assume it may not have been and that was a possible reason why was unprofessional. I was simply not interested, and once I state that, the pitch should end there. Honestly don't want to go back due to the fear of having that uncomfortable interaction at the checkout again. It's a shame too because my mother and her mother both shop at Kohl's and have for most of my life, as well as for me in my adolescence. I find the clothes are well-made, trendy and modern, nice quality though you definitely pay for that price. Even still, I'd shop there time and time again. But I can't justify going somewhere I feel anxious to walk into now....
Read moreI recently decided to take on some holiday shifts at Kohlâs, expecting it to be an enjoyable experienceâbut it was far from that.
One of the most troubling observations was the blatant profiling of customers. It was disheartening to witness, as I strongly believe in treating everyone equally. On numerous occasions, I saw individuals who didnât fit the ânormâ being closely monitored, with their presence announced over the radios for others to watch. This kind of behavior is not only discriminatory but also unprofessional.
Additionally, the workplace culture left much to be desired. Many of the women in managerial roles displayed a lack of professionalism and effective communication skills. Itâs unclear what the qualifications are for leadership positions, but the standards seem to be set exceptionally low.
To make matters worse, the organization and overall operations were chaotic and poorly managed.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Kohlâs as either a place to...
