I have been going to this food lion for a year now. I’ve never had any problems with the Exception of today. The staff is normally very helpful and polite. Today I went in to purchase a money order and the customer service manager Elisa asked me cash or debit. I stated debt she then proceeded to ask me for my identification I gave her my drivers license but I then asked the question since when is id required for debt card purchases. Is that a new policy. Her words exactly “maybe” . I then say “Maybe? what that does mean is that your policy or a food lion policy”. She begins to laugh and say she gets to decide who she ids. Store policy’s are there for a reason their are people in higher positions that make that call. If you come across her just be aware that people of color have extra “safety measures taken”-her words. Read moretoo friendly-in fact i discovered they are trained to be over friendly. no thanks. i will take the no fake cashiers. and especially since i found out they take it as a joke. the cashiers now are so juvenile and young that they dont even know how to relate to customers. they talk about customers behind their backs and their romper room atmosphere is just sickening. i have also found several mistakes on my receipt on occassion. maybe the cashiers should be hired on experience not programmable faces. In fact i believe hiring too many people without experience will back fire as i see this place without any supervision and lacks direction. long shopping lines with people up front just standing around yaking with each other completely oblivious. a true receipe for disaster. experience always shows. but does not show here. good bye to...
Read moreI used to LOVE this Food Lion. I am physically impaired due to a broken back and I also have a heart condition that makes walking for any amount of time nearly impossible. This store has 3 electric carts for disabled persons. For the last few months they have not been holding a charge. Dying before I can go from the entrance to the deli. In the last month 2 of the 3 carts have been “out of order”. The third one is “missing”. When I have mentioned the difficulty this has caused me in my shopping.
