Today was my second visit to Del Sur. First time was perfectly fine and today was no different until the end. Food was fine and waiter was pleasant and attentive. I'll preface this by saying we got there at 11:30 and one of my coworkers had a meeting at 1pm nearby. We were done eating at 12:20. At this point our waiter brings our checks and explains their card system is not working properly and we say thats fine because we have some time. He comes back again around 12:35 telling us it's hopefully running and takes our cards to run. At 12:45 we go to the counter where our waiter is working on our cards and we are already thinking of how we're going to have to get our coworker back but somehow pay our bill too. Two of our cards have been processed and our waiter is working on the others. He explains that the system isn't working again and my coworker states that is okay, we know how systems can be but we do have to leave because of work. The waiter says to hold on a minute but we have been and my coworker again explains we need to leave as we are going to be late otherwise. He never raised his voice, he was stern but not obnoxious and just stating a fact. We had to go. This is where things go wrong. The waiter then ask my coworker if he can take a picture of his debit card and run it later. Obviously that is not appropriate and my coworker simply states no he can't. The waiter then ask if he can write down the card information which my coworker also declines because same issue here. At this point the manager walks up and states "don't be rude" to my coworker, who has literally been as patient as can be at this point. This was enough for me to state "we have been waiting a half hour to pay, we also have jobs to go to" and that was the rudest anyone was (ME, not my coworker). My coworker states we will return and pay later and we take the two remaining bills. I thought this was going to be that simple. I still could not believe the manager said this to my coworker but they were busy and I get it's stressful. My coworker does as he says and after work he drives back to the restaurant with bill in hand to pay them. He goes inside and says he's returning to pay the bills and the man behind the counter explains their system is still down and goes to the back. The manager comes to my coworker and the first thing he says is "oh you were the rude customer". Ultimately the manager tells him 3 more times (even putting his hand on my coworkers shoulder) he has been a rude customer but he comps the meals. Then ask my coworker to not post a review about the restaurant. To say I'm amazed is an understatement. The rudest person then entire time was ME (the completely unacknowledged woman of the group) defending my coworker because we had waited patiently to pay our bills and then when we explain we need to leave, he is told he is being rude. Read moreWe have eaten at this restaurants several times and always had good success until this evening. I’m not sure what has changed, but it forces me to leave a negative review after I spoke with the manager who did to resolve my issue and hung up on me.
Our order was 15 minutes beyond the pick up time, when I asked the manager to check on it and end up coming back from the bar area, seemingly where it had been sitting for quite some time. Upon getting home we realized that they failed to give us our soup, the cheese on the side that we had requested and the quesadillas were nowhere near what we have experienced in restaurant.
My fiancé had planned on just having soup, so unfortunately, she didn’t get what she wanted at all. And then upon calling the restaurant and speaking with the same manager, who had helped me, acknowledged that the soup was still sitting there.
Resolution was for me to drive back to pick up a refund for the soup. Keep in mind this order was placed online through their website.
I requested that he just refund with the credit card that I used to place the order and he insisted that I come and get cash tonight, tomorrow or on Monday.
When I pressed him, he stated that I should call “them” he’s not in charge of that. Keep in mind I ordered it on their website, not DoorDash or Uber eats or anything so from where I’m sitting, he is “Them”. so at this point, I asked him to call them since it was through their website and he simply hung up on me.
They don’t care about me as a customer so I clearly won’t care about them as a restaurant anymore.
This Manager just took a customer who was a loyal fan and turned them into an actual enemy.

Read moreOrdered take out and was charged for someone else's food (over $40) and it took over 30 minutes and five different people to tell me that they could not fix it and I would have to wait until the mangaer comes in at 6pm. Told me that I need to come back for them to be able to fix it. Said for me to go ahead and go and insinuated that my food $15 was free and that I would not be charged for the food due to the issue with the card and the wait for them to try and fix it. I left. Went back to the hotel and half my food was missing. I had to go back to the restaurant and get the rest of the food. I then called at 7:30pm to make sure that my card was refunded the money for the other person's order. The manager said that it would be refunded in a few days and that I was charged $15 for my food. I explained that the people I spoke to earlier said that my food would not be charged due to the incident. He was extremely rude and said if you want to bring the food back then you wont be charged. I do not recommend this place at all. The food is very hit or miss. I have eaten here a handful of times when in town due to the proximity to the hotel I stay in. Sometimes the food is really good and other times it is greasy and borderline unedible. You never know what version you will get that day. Due to how this incident was handled and the ongoing issues with quality I will not step foot in this establishment again. There are tons of places in Mooresville and the Lake Norman area that have way better food and I am sure better...
