Walking in found the man behind the counter as cold and dreary as it was outside. He seemed more interested watching a game on his phone than helping a first time customer with a order for dine in. A starter and the mixed grill were ordered. While waiting watched people come in and out know one stayed There was two orders for pick up while there. The man would go back to his phone playing it loudly and ignore the customers, why would they stay. The baba ganoush had far to much oil on it and had to poured off. Honestly it didn't need it at all. The mixed grill arrived and looked interesting. A few bites in would be disappointed. The rice was cool as in barely warmed up and the meats were over cooked. A woman for a pick up order asked how the food was and answered honestly. The owner never asked at all. After a few bites asked for a couple of boxes this seemed a big inconvenience. When it came time to pay the total didn't match the prices on the menu? The man behind the counter tried to charge for bottled water, I was drinking tap.The numbers still didn't add up? When questioning the total again was told "the prices had gone gone up and they didn't have time to change them on the menu." The restaurant had three customers. I agreed to pay he amount on the menu and he wanted to get argumentive. I was told "to take my food and leave." Once again offered to pay the price on the menu he got rude. The boxed food on the table was left behind. I left as well as a man that walked in looking at the menu. I won't...
Read moreAttention all kabob connoisseurs and flavor fanatics! If you haven't experienced the culinary magic at this local kabob joint, you're missing out on a taste bud revolution. These guys aren't just nice; they're the masters of seasoning and the grilling gurus we never knew we needed!
When we discovered they could cater our Easter lamb dinner, we jumped at the chance faster than a bunny hopping down the trail. And boy, did they deliver: the leg of lamb and shoulder were seasoned and cooked to perfection, nestled on a huge bed of fluffy aromatic rice, along with a rainbow of delicious grilled veggies.
The salad was crisp enough to make a fresh lettuce jealous and the hummus? Let's just say we nearly started a family feud over who got to lick the bowl clean. A plentiful feast for all senses at a price that was almost too good to be true!
I enjoy cooking. I enjoy cooking for our church and for family on holidays. But I will confess: having a stress-free Easter dinner that met my ridiculously high standards was a real treat.
If you want to experience a kabob nirvana that will make your taste buds sing hallelujah, look no further. Just don't blame me if you find yourself questioning why you should ever cook a meal at...
Read moreA small dining establishment in a strip mall of other food options, kabab n grill seems to be family operated. The staff were very friendly to all of the customers. A large portion of business seemed to be take-out orders for sandwiches and most of the packaging is focused on that: Pitas are prepackaged in bags and the baklava is in to-go containers. Don't let that dissuade you, though. We ate in and got the Turkish tea, falafel, hummus, chicken kofta, chicken shawarma, and baklava.
Their Turkish tea with a bit of sugar was delicious. The falafel was more moist on the inside than I've had at other Mediterranean places and was frankly amazing; both crunchy and light. The hummus was top notch. The shawarma was less heavily spiced (I'll admit I was a bit sad) and had many more vegetables (which I appreciated) than your average shawarma plate. The kofta was a bit dry, but the spices were quite tasty. Last but not least, the baklava was crunchy, sweet, and delicious.
It's nice to have a Mediterranean place in Mooresville. I'll be returning and you should give it a...
