I brought some gold scrap in to sell to these people. For those who don't know, most gold buyers will purchase gold in a unit of weight known as penny weight. It is a unit of weight, just like pounds, grams, tons, ounces etc. The dollar amount of a penny weight is in constant flux and moves with the price of gold. At the moment I entered this store, 14k of gold had a penny weight of $53.00. I brought in 28.8 penny weights of gold (28.8x53=$1,526.40). I was offered $1,025.00. I understand there are additional fees that are deducted from the transaction, ie, testing, shipping, processing and refining, which would be $50 at best for such a small amount of gold. That would have brought my payout to $1,476. So what was the additional $450 they deducted for? I asked Tina the sales person how she came up with that amount and received uncomfortable double-talk from her. I know people try to cheat others all the time, but when I see it happen to me, I am always shocked. If this is the way they operate when they buy gold, it makes one wonder what they add in junk fees when they sell gold products to the public. Shame on you Tina and Diamond Shoals Jewelry. Everyone should get at least 3 quotes before you sell your precious metals for pennies...
Read moreI walked in and I was the only customer not being helped. Then a medium length hair blonde woman (plump) came from the back and greeted a Caucasian woman first after I had been waiting for ten min before the woman came in. Then I was finally greeted and asked for a box chain for my silver charm. She went to the back and brought out a white gold box chain (which she never told me was white gold) and I perceived as silver and bought for $400. I found out later that it was not what I wanted at all and why it was so expensive. My husband came in the next day and received a cash refund. But this was the worst customer service I've experienced here. She looked at me funny and asked for personal information just to run my credit card. Then when it went through she looked shocked for a second. I'm sorry I was in car sales for 5 years and if I had ever acted and reacted the way she did I would have never made top 28 car salesman in the nation. I'm also a retired AF veteran. Don't judge a book by its cover and you...
Read moreThis place is amazing! My husband and I walked in to look for something to add to my set for our anniversary. They were able to do something custom, that's what we walked in wanting, until I saw a beautiful tacori band that was perfect with the set I had already. It's gorgeous... All of the staff was extremely helpful, every case has something beautiful in it. They even offer a service to redip your old rings to make them look brand new.... My rings that were 5 years old look like they did the day I bought them. I've never been offered this, let alone knew about it.. highly recommend...
