Service is awful. I have eaten here a few times and not commented on the service. Went in there to eat tonight and we were seated right away. Only 3 other tables besides us. After about 10 minutes the host?, I'm guessing, came and took our drink order and I ordered the two year old food so it would come out first. Then placed our order. Takes forever to get our drinks and she doesn't bring the two year olds. Takes another 10 minutes or so to get his drink. He starts to get cranky so I checked to see how long it had been since we ordered, 37 minutes ( I knew BC we checked in on Facebook as we were giving out drink order). So I take the baby outside to go for a walk and as I walk by the kitchen I see our food sitting on the counter. My dad talks to the manager while I'm outside and a while after that tells me our food has arrived. Get to the table and the food is cold of course and the baby's food was the only order that was right. The waitress even came back to the table to make sure I asked for French toast. I got pancakes. Me and my sister didn't get our eggs, toast, or any of the other sides. Just the pancakes (she actually did order pancakes) and my dad got the wrong omlet. Also by this point we have been there an hr when we got our food our drinks were never refilled waitress never came by to check on us. So I ask for the manager and told him I would like a check for the food that we were served and to cancel the rest please. He told us not to worry about it and he was very sorry. The waitress comes back and tells dad his omlet is ready and would he like it to go. He says sure and she walks away the manager walks over and asked dad the same thing. The waitress screams and the manager not once but three times that she already did it. She screamed across the restaurant!! She brings the omlet and asks if the manager gave us the check. My dad told her no. She tells him the manager said he did and I told her he told us we weren't paying for it and she throws the bag down on the table says to me well I guess you aren't and walks off. The manager was kind enough to refill our drinks while the baby finished eating. Now I will say I have been a waitress and it's a really tough job and we were at no point rude. Me and my dad worked in food services. Had she just been kind enough to refill our drinks while he waited and not copped an attitude when my dad told her that he got the wrong food ( I didn't even tell them mine was wrong) she would have still got a tip. But when you scream across the restaurant and then throw my food down. And our drinks were empty for over 30 minutes and we never even saw her to ask for a refill I'm sorry but I'm not going to tip for that. Maybe she was just having a bad night or maybe it was a kitchen mishap I'm not sure but it was awful and unfortunately it's not the first time that we've had crappy service. My dad didn't want to go there at all BC it always takes forever to get the food even when we are the only ones in there, but I really wanted the new French toast (that I didn't even get lol) it will probably be a while before...
Read moreMe and my daughter went this past Friday and had breakfast, my checking account was overcharged for times for the same amount the very next day I called and they told me that the manager was not there that they would give the manager my information and I would be getting a call back the next day, I never received a call and my account still had charges on it of course it being a Saturday I could not talk to my bank, this was my best friends Birthday weekend and I had to cancel our plans because on my way to Wilmington I got a call telling me that my card didn’t go through for the entire amount for our b&b, that is how I discovered they had charged my card four times resulting in over $100. I called every day for three days with no callback from the manager. On Monday I had to file a claim with my bank which of course the money got put back into my account but still no call back from the manager, no apology, No retribution. I will never step foot in there again. I went five days with my account nearly being to the point of overdrawn and no phone call from the manager. Shame on you IHOP in Morehead city North Carolina. Read moreI felt pretty bad we were walking in at 9:11pm and they were seemingly getting ready to close. The waitress we had was wonderful. Attentive and friendly, responsive. When it came time to pay our bill, my husband’s card declined. The waitress returned and advised it didn’t go thru. My husband spent 15 minutes trying to get the app to work and it was glitching repeatedly. At this point the manager came over. Asked if everything was okay. My husband said we were trying to figure it out and that we will pay. I advised we would pay as well. The manager proceeded to say ‘if you don’t it comes out of her check.’ Which is an insult to us. When a customer advises they will pay repeatedly and we aren’t actively trying to get up and leave the restaurant acting as if we aren’t paying, then this response was not necessary. Nor should it EVER be on the waitress to pay for the service if someone cannot pay. If you need to go to a restaurant later at night, I would choose another one.
