Deployed solider, hometown of Newport, NC. Recently purchased some jewelry online. First piece I got weeks ago for a Mother’s Day surprise for my wife. A couple of day prior she last minute shares a DP post and I thought why not she deserves what she wants I’ll get her that as well. My quick clicking didn’t notice I hit in store pick up by mistake on this last minute item. Last Saturday (day before Mother’s Day) comes around and I get a random FB message. In a nutshell one of the workers saw that I had put a Happy Mother’s Day message in the purchase. She went out of her way to make sure I knew the purchase was ready. It was after there hours and I was in a panic but she remained calm and understood what I accidentally had done. I gave her my wife’s info and she was able to contact her and arrange the pick it. This worker was willing to even drive to her if that’s what it took but luckily my wife was already in the area doing some other shopping. Long story short this small business went the extra mile to ensure my slip up still was able to make its way to my deserving wife for Mother’s Day. She of course got it on accident a day early but she was surprised nonetheless with the bracelet she also received (along with some other goodies) that I had made sure to hit the ship to address option on weeks prior. Awesome customer service and care. Will continue to shop locally, shop with these excellent people, and definitely recommend for great prices excellent quality jewelry that looks great too. Thank you so much for your help and going...
Read moreFrom the minute we walked into this store, we felt uncomfortable. Salesperson was very standoffish with absolutely no personality. No extra conversation even when we attempted to share a little humor and add some light laughter. They never once smiled. After 2 weeks of my diamond being " worked on" we headed into the store to see what the status was. It just happened to be ready . We'll, why hadn't they called us? Again, the same salesperson was cold and unfriendly. I wont ever go back there and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Luckily, my ring came out nice. At the end of the day, that's all that mattered I guess. I just think when you own a business, in a small town at that, you'd be more friendly, give your customer peace of mind and care about the impression you give. So absolutely unfriendly!!
Update: it meant so much to us that the owner made a special phone call to personally apologize for the unfriendly experience we had. We appreciate his kind words and his acknowledgment of our complaint. We will consider using D.P. in the future. As i stated above my ring came...
Read moreDP is by far the best and only jewler I will use going forward. I took my at the time girlfriends grandma's ring from the 1940's to them letting them know we wanted to turn it into an engagement ring. They assured us what we wanted to be done could be done. You can tell they would handle this very sentimental ring with the utmost care as we spoke to them which was so important to us. The engagement ring turned out better than we imagined! They then created a beautiful wedding band using that ring along with a new band and her grandmas wedding band by fusing them all together. DP's staff was phenomenal to deal with, fair on pricing, right on time with finishing the ring, and all around just great people to deal with. You guys have gained customers for life. Thank...
