Wouldn't recommend buying from this specific furniture world, others may be better. I bought a recliner from them and it broke 2 weeks into owning it, so they said they would get someone to fix it. 8 months later someone fixed it and it broke again. This time after waiting on parts for months again we decided to replace it with another. While on the phone with the man who works on the recliners I asked him what the weight limit was on our first recliner and he said it was 240. When we first bought the chair the salesman told us it was 300+ but when I went back in to replace it i asked the salesman what the weight limit was, and him knowing it broke several times and not remembering what he told me the first time this time he told the truth. Once we replaced it with the only other chair they had there that wasn't the first one we had and was the same price range it broke two months after. Of corse the second chair was also not an acceptable weight limit because I was told if I wanted one for my weight I would have to pay several hundred dollars more even tho I was told the first time the first chair would work for my weight. $400 dollars wasted because a salesman wanted to make a quick sell and lie to do so. I was told that after the replacement of the chair by what I would assume is the manager that if I had any more problems then it was too bad and they would not be covering anything anymore because I was knowingly buying a chair below my needed weight limit even tho that is all I could afford since they lied about the weight limit on the first one and because the warranty had expired, which was their fault for taking 8 months to fix my chair the first time. When I bought the first one the salesman made it sound like I was buying a high quality chair, when I went to get it replaced he was telling me about all the problems those chairs have, would have been nice to have seen that honesty before they got my money. I just got rid of my biglots chair that has lasted me for years with zero issues just for this one to break, guess I will have to go back to big lots and pick another one up.I have heard good things about the lexington furniture world but I would stay away from the morehead one. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this Store! I bought a house in the craziest of times and right after I bought it furniture stores were closed, so having the ability to go in and shop around in person wasn’t an option at the time. Furniture isn’t something you necessarily want to buy online, but at the time it was my only option...so I went online and ordered from another store what I thought I wanted and it was nothing but let downs day after day after I purchased it. Thankfully that store refunded me because of all of the issues, so I was able to take my business elsewhere, and I got to go to Furniture World (which is where I wanted to go from the beginning because I had heard such great things and I like to try and shop local as much as possible) as soon as I got refunded I went to the store since they had opened back up now. First off, I felt safe knowing they were following all social distancing guidelines for your safety, so that was a great first impression. Secondly, I was greeted by a very kind associate Chaz, and he was so understanding, reasonable, and caring! Customer service means everything to me, so this sort of interaction and impression won me over. I’m so happy things worked out the way they did for me to get to do business at Furniture World and with Chaz, the furniture I got ended up being much nicer than what I had originally ordered and it looks great in my room, I’m sure it will last me for a long time too because it is such great quality! My experience with Furniture World in Morehead was pleasant. I was searching for a couch for about $500. Which can be challenging if you want something nice same day. They had several within my price range and the one we decided on was available same day. The employees and manager were very helpful and friendly.
