Don Señor Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Morehead

I really do like the food here and never had an issue until a few days ago. A call in order was placed and a specific request for a different kind of cheese was asked for over the phone. Long story short. Picked up order drove all the way home and noticed there was no cheese at all. So, I called the restaurant to ask for the cheese and I was going to come back by and get it. Well, the individual operating the phone argued me for a solid 10-12 minutes alluding that I was trying to hustle cheese. I was completely appalled. He looked up my order and informed me that my meal is not allowed to substitute for the queso cheese. That this request cost extra and I had not paid for it.... which normally is fine and I would have paid for it had I would have known prior. No one gave me the option to pay extra. Anyways, my small complaint was handled completing the opposite of what I would have expected. It simply was not my fault the individual who took my order did not inform me of the restaurants policy and proceeded to ring up my food without what I had asked for. Very disappointed in the customer service! Oh, also he interrupted me several times and was straight up rude about the whole thing. Not sure if I would come back here...

When we arrived they were busy it was dinner time... waited maybe 3-4 minutes to be seated. I ordered the happy hour margarita with an extra shot on the side. Usually they bring the extra shot and let you pour it in... not this time. After tasting it I realized he had not put in the extra shot and when I asked where my shot was, I was told he had already put it in. I told him it was not in it, he swore it was... it was not. I ordered my second one same way... I watched him behind the bar pour my margarita out of some dirty container from the bar area and bring it straight to me. We had perfect seats from the booth to see what was going on. When he brought it over I asked where my shot was at first he said he put it in... again. Nope I watched this time. After saying I watched him not put it in he went over and grabbed my shot and brought it back to the table. Wasn't even the tequila I ordered but it was whatever. We ate our meal and the food was pretty good. Service would have been great if he didn't lie. When we go back I will request he's not our server. Can't stand a liar that charged us extra for it too.. I definitely recommend this place's food compared to other Mexican restaurants...

We don't make it to moreheads very often, so we decided to give this mexican restaurant location a try. First off, we noticed that they were almost empty. That's good, we will get quick service. The waiter was very nice, took our food order and drinks. Had our drinks in a flash. Food took a bit. Not bad, though, and it was all extremely hot. It's time to dig in. First thing I noticed was that there was grease standing on my plate under the chimichanga. Ohhhhh goodness, I was hoping the chimichanga wasn't full of it, but once I cut into it, it came running out. Now I know this gives flavor, but I'd rather not have all that. I noticed that the kids' quesadilla was smaller than what we normally get at other similar restaurants. My son loved it and had it devoured rather quickly. My hubby enjoyed a steak. His complaint was that it was very tough and overcooked. Spent 50 bucks for our meal of 3. Thought it was pricey for what we got, but that's how it is nowadays. All in all, it was OK, meal.
