Mi Chavelas Market — Local services in Moreno Valley

I was excited to try this place after doing research on mexican markets in MV. I was looking for a place with good marinated carne asada, the addition of the restaurant was a bonus especially since the reviews were great. My excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I odered tamales to go and noticed they kept the salsa containers behind the counter I asked for them only to be told they don't give them out for tamales... I wasn't going to beg or argue so... I went to el super next door and bought their salsa since I enjoy my tamales with salsa, is that weird? I'm glad I got the salsa because the tamales were 90% super dry dough with shreds of pork. Already disappointed and into my second tamale I bit into a hard object I don't even know what it is and I don't think I want to know (picture attached if approved). Bought $22 worth of chicharones. These are the worst ever. They were chewy and I wasn't able to bite into them. Come to find out these are from yesterday's batch. I asked for a refund because I couldn't eat them but the cook recommended that I eat them a different way. He was making excuses and telling me how to prepare them. I asked for a refund but he didn't know if I will get a refund. He asked me to drive all the way to the store to ask the person in charge. Why would I drive all the way to the store to just get to get denied. That's why I asked over the phone before heading over there. To make a long story short ... They do not have good customer service. They didn't want to fix my problem. Why would a market sell...

This past weekend I stopped in, always seen this market full of people every time I passed by. Thought why not stop in and give it a try! Good thing I did 👍🏻There pastor is really good, wasn’t too sweet Way better than any of the Other Local markets in town. Made me even go back the next day for some more 😋 I seen everyone is commenting about being over charged, I feel they are very reasonable prices especially since mostly everything is imported/ and made fresh! I been looking for a place that had Tortillas de Mano Now I know this will be my go to market 😉 service was good, didn’t have a problem everyone seemed nice...
