My doctor sent in a prescription w/refill, electronically, over a month ago. Because I know this pharmacy only gets it's supply orders in on Fridays, I called to start my request on Thursday, 12/31/20, 7 days before I was allowed to pick it up on 1/7/21. I was told, by the guy who answered, he would put it in to be ready for p/u on the 7th. I called on the following Monday to verify that it would be ready. It was not even recorded to be processed. A woman then told me that she would put in the request. I went to pick it up after 3 p.m. on 1/7, thinking surely it was ready. NOPE! When I got there, they said they ran out, but their delivery would be in the next day (Friday), and I could pick it up after 4 p.m. I spent the day and evening with my family. I arrived at approximately 8:30 p.m. to a very long double-line of cars. I waited for over half an hour to get to the drive-up window, which was attended by one person for both lines. After I had given her the necessary information, she needed to pull-up my account she proceeded to tell me they were out, and their delivery was delayed. She didn't know when to expect it. NO phone call from ANYONE at Walgreens to tell me this BEFORE I wasted MY time. Because I don't have a written prescription, I have no other recourse but to wait for their incompetent lying staff to get my medication, hopefully by 1/12, so she told me this time, and pray I have enough to last until then. I worked customer service for over 30 years when there was no automated phone service and never had not one complaint, even though I was answering a 6-line system alone. I have waited on this Walgreens' system, which I believe is no more than 4 lines, for upto an hour. I did my job without ever lying to a customer on the phone or in-person. If it wasn't for the fact that I need a pharmacy that is open 24/7 because I am 75 yrs old and need others on occasion to p/u my meds, I wouldn't use...
Read moreThe pharmacy here has been a pain in the butt. I tried to continue to give them a chance but after dealing with them for 2 years I've decided to stop using them for prescriptions. The wait time in the store and in the drive through are always incredibly long. I understand that they are always busy, however, with it being like this since I've been using them, you would think that they would solve the issue if they were understaffed. When I have to refill a prescription, it is always, without fail, delayed. They will claim that they have contacted my doctor for authorization, and never hear back from the doctor. This always leads to LATE prescriptions and me having to call my doctor myself, which I do not mind if that's what it takes to get what I need. When I ask the doctors office if this Walgreens pharmacy has tried to get authorization from them, they say no. Walgreens: if you are trying to get doctor authorization, but claim to not be able to get ahold of them, why keep me waiting? Why would you not contact the patient to let them know that you can't reach the doctor? I'd be happy to call them if that means getting my meds on time! This is an issue if you take something weekly and are depending on someone to properly do their job. When I go in to actually pick up items, everyone is friendly though... so thats a plus I guess. I believe it's just poor management behind the counter. My family has always used Walgreens in Missouri, and has never had any issues with them there. It's this location. As of today, I've begun to use the Rite Aid next door. I'd be happy to come back if something...

Tue 7PM: With no update from Walgreens, I called and was told it would be ready in an hour.
Tue 10PM: With no update from Walgreens, I went through drive-thru. Was informed it was not ready yet, that I should come back tomorrow morning.
Wed 11AM: No update. Called, person who answered confirmed that it should've been filled yesterday. Transfered around 3 times, left on hold for 20 minutes. Call was disconnected by Walgreens.
Wed 1130AM: Called back. Transferred twice, was told it would be filled in 30 minutes.
Wed 12PM: Arrived at Walgreens and waited in line for 30 minutes.
Wed 12:30PM: Was informed by the pharmacy receptionist that it was not ready yet. Asked if I would like to wait for the text to let me know when to come back and pick it up or if I would like to wait here. Decided to wait.
Wed 1PM Was given partially medications. Doctor prescribed 20g, pharmacy only had 5g box. Was told they had to charge the full co pay. "Keep the receipt and I "shouldn't" have to pay again when I pick up for a refill" was what I was told.
Honestly, they look like they are moving non stop behind the glass. But there is obviously something that's not efficient back there. At the very least, learn to give proper timings. Multiple people complained about their prescriptions not being ready while I was waiting in person. Others complained about phone calls telling them it would be ready hours ago.
They need to reinvent their system.
Until they do, go somewhere else for your...
