Smart & Final Extra! — Local services in Moreno Valley

Store is constantly understaffed, and also over ran buy thieves drug addicts Etc. They do have a security guard but they don't seem to Garden much. Seems like they're utilized as a Bag Boy.

But the store is close by and it's much quicker than going to a larger chain although customer service isn't really on point. It seems as though the staff that is working is so accustomed to being mistreated and abused that they don't know how to let it go and not take it out on the next customer. Maybe if they have more employees at the registers maybe just one more, making a total of 2 cash registers open it would be easier to focus on customer service versus being so overworked that the only thing it seems as though they are thinking is how much longer do I have to be here. I would probably also consider looking for a new security company or one that actually does their job the parking lot is quite treacherous again over ran with drug addicts panhandlers and people loitering in general.

It also says a lot about the city and what they're willing to enforce and...

I made a trip to this smart & final for one reason. A roasted chicken. But the display was empty. I knew the general area where they prepare the chickens so I went to that door hoping to see someone that I could ask to no avail. I returned to the front of the store and ask the cashier since they were the only employees that I could find. She told me it would be 45 minutes. The only other time that this had happened to me where I was told it would be another 30 minutes I saw an employee bring one out of the stockroom to give to another customer. I asked her and she brought out another three roasted chickens. I ended up we're even going to stater Brothers, someplace I did...

Update 11-12-2024: only 2 registers open, lines were 10 and 12 deep, when the cashier closed her lane. She told the gal ahead of me, who had not yet unloaded her cart onto the conveyor belt , she would take through her. I left my stuff right there and walked out.

Friendly service, they had what I came for, loved their 6 ft. spacer signage. So why less that'll 5 stars? Well because the line to check out filled the front and entire frozen food aisle, each of the 2 checkstands had 2 customers at the station, but they failed to open more registers.
