Iâm disappointed to share that I had a very frustrating experience at this store today. My husband and I came in to return a pair of AirPods we had purchased just the day before. We were originally able to price match to Walmartâs price and were hoping to exchange them for a new pair, as the ones we bought had a static sound issue right out of the box.
When we approached the electronics department, two newer employees were unsure how to assist, so they called over what appeared to be a team lead. Unfortunately, this individualâElysia, who wore glasses and had tattoosâwas extremely rude and unprofessional from the start. She asked usârudely and with attitudeâwhy we were returning the item. We explained multiple times that there was an issue with the AirPods, and all we wanted to do was return them and purchase a new pair using the same price match we were given the day before.
She dismissed us, saying she couldnât price match because it wasnât showing in her system, despite the fact that it had just been honored the previous day. Her tone and demeanor made us feel disrespected and unwelcome, and it was clear she wasnât interested in actually helping us or even trying to understand the situation.
What made it even more frustrating was that the employee who helped us the day before was incredibly kind and helpfulâthere were no issues at all with the price match, and the process was smooth and professional. I have never had an issue with this kind of situation before, but todayâs experience left a very bad impressionâespecially coming from a team lead.
We even heard the people behind us ask for a price match on a remote controller. If Elysia couldnât help us with a price match, Iâm not sure how she would be able to assist anyone else with one. Itâs clear she doesnât have the proper etiquette or training to do so. She easily couldâve handed this issue off to someone capable of resolving it, but she chose not toâand her actions made that clear.
After this interaction and being treated with attitude, we kindly took our business to San Joseâa whole other town awayâand did the return there with better satisfaction and customer service.
We could have easily returned the item and taken our business to Walmartâbut we chose Target because we expected better service. Disappointing, to...
Read moreMorgan Hill CA, Worst experience shopping at this store on 1/22/25. Made my purchase at self checkout and proceeded to walk out the door. I was approached outside the doors by a so-called target employee (young, dark skinned, dark hair female) her badge was not visible. She requested that return back inside the store because she claimed I failed to scan one of my items and that I was caught in a failed attempt to steal. I was shocked and amazed at this accusations and proceeded to show this employee my receipt. Clearly shown on the receipt were both of my purchases and she continued to deny and repeated herself that she witnessed me failing to scan merchandise. I requested that I speak with MGNT and walked back inside followed by her. She directed me to a Mgr that was standing near the self check out area. (mature white lady with blonde hair and glasses, possibly name is Joyce) I explained to the mgr that this female employee accused me of theft and I wanted to file a complaint. I showed the mgr my receipt to show evidence that I completed my purchases. The mgr replied that she acknowledges the accusations but stands behind her employee on this situation. I continued to prove my point that this employee should be reprimanded for improperly accussing me of theft and that this was a form of racial profiling. Both employees denied such a claim and felt it was just a misunderstanding. During this whole discussion there was no attempt of an apology and the only time a half hearted apology was given was at the end when I left the store. I continued my complaint with corporate and await their response on this matter. The target employees claim it was a mistake, but I believe they racially profiled with the intent of accusing me of theft. I will not shop at this store and will share my experience with my entire inner circle. This experience is clear sign that mgnt leadership is...
Read moreIt's convenient when you need something immediately, but the prices aren't the best. Also, the discounts/cashbacks that are advertised throughout the store is very inconvenient when you need to look up an app or need a coupon. It's rare that I look at an ad and make a planned trip according to the ad. This is starting to remind me of when my parents used to clip coupons. I saw several signs that if I purchased $20 worth of personal care products I could get $5. I loaded up and low and behold, the $5 back did not come up at checkout. The cashier checked and then she thought maybe if she scanned my cartwheel wallet, it may work. It did not. She called over a supervisor and she confirmed I had the items, but the supervisor said I needed a coupon. If I'm already at the store, where was I going to get the coupon? The supervisor pulled up the ad and showed me the coupon I needed, but didn't offer to just scan it for my purchase. All in all, I asked for all my personal care items to be removed. It made sense to buy them if I was going to get $5 back since target prices are higher than other retailers that I have the option of using. Your Cartwheel discount program and the cashback with coupon only are very inconvenient. I actually rarely shop at your store anymore unless I need something immediately because of it. I'll be ordering the items I left at your store from Amazon. Better prices, they get dropped off on my doorstep in 1-2 days, and I don't need coupons to get...
