5 Stars â Friendly, KnowledgeableâŠ. an All Around Exceptional Experience!
I had a truly outstanding experience at Bass Pro Shops in Morgantown during my search for a new crossbow. Since I live about 75 miles away, I called ahead to confirm they had the specific brand and model I was interested in. Jenn answered the phone and was incredibly helpful, she confirmed they had a couple of the crossbows I was considering and even set them aside for me to make sure theyâd still be available when I arrived. That kind of customer service is rare and immediately made a great impression.
When I got to the store, I was warmly greeted and then personally escorted by Garrett to the archery department on the second floor. There, I met Dale, the resident archery expert, and calling him an âexpertâ honestly doesnât do him justice. I spent nearly two and a half hours asking him every question I could think of about crossbows, hunting, and equipment. He answered every single one patiently, clearly, and with the kind of depth and experience that only comes from someone who truly knows and loves what they do.
Dale also gave me the opportunity to test fire the crossbow I was most interested in, right there in their indoor range. That hands on experience really sealed the deal for me. After deciding on the crossbow, Dale helped me choose the right accessories to go with it and made sure everything was tailored to my needs.
Beyond the exceptional help I received from Jenn, Garrett, and Dale, every employee I encountered in the store was friendly, welcoming, and ready to assist. The store itself is clean, well organized, and has a fresh, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to browse and explore.
I canât say enough about how impressed I was with this location. Whether youâre a seasoned outdoorsman or a newcomer to hunting and outdoor recreation, I highly recommend making the trip to this Bass Pro Shops. Theyâve earned a solid 5 stars from me, and Iâll...
Read moreBassPro is great and love the store but a shame they are associated with BlueGreen Vacations. Here was my experience of purchasing the vacation package while shopping at BassPro.
It all seems great upfront but you schedule online and nothing is clear. You pick your dates, number of guest, accommodations (i.e., double beds ,cribs, wheelchair, etc). We had the $250 premium package and booked online for 4 days three nights. When we got the hotel resort information it was for a queen bed and sofa pull out couch. I asked if we could do the two double beds and they said okay. I had to reschedule the dates the online reschedule said nothing about a 49 fee to reschedule just a cancelation fee of 99 if 21 days or closer to arrival date. Then I find out they switch accommodations from the resort to a holiday inn because we wanted a room with two beds and was charged a 49 fee because we changed the dates three months prior to our trip. The cherry on top if we want our promotional gift card of 150 mastercard we have to drive over to the resort sit for the seminar and then we get the 150 gift card even though they put us in a hotel and we were not disclosed they did that and wouldn't have known unless I hadn't called because everything shows the resort in the emails about our stay. Too late to get our money back and really regret the purchase. I hope Basspro drops it's affiliation with a scam of a company. If you trust Basspro this is something that makes me question Basspro leadership if they continue this...

I was so excited when Bass Pro Shop came to Morgantown. Knowing they had a nice selection of firearms, I wanted to go there to make my first purchase. I came into the store this evening to make my very first firearm purchase. A small purple 380 to carry for my protection. The associate would not approach me and so the male friend I am with, who happens to have a dark complexion, speaks up to get the associates attention and asks what I need to do to make a purchase. Instantly the associate states he cannot sell a gun to me for my friend. I tell him no this purchase is for me, this is my first time purchasing a firearm and I wasn't sure what to do. Had I, as a woman, been approached there would have been no mistaking who was purchasing the firearm and who it was for. Never did he explain to me the process, never spoke to me at all. He left me waiting an extended amount of time before bringing his manager out to tell me they will not sell to me. Due to the ignorance of the associate and his terrible customer service skills I am left to believe one of two things. He either has a problem with women or with people of color. One thing I knew for sure, sadly I will not be coming back to this store again. Ladies, I do not recommend making your firearm purchases here but if you insist, avoid the long haired kid who doesn't make eye contact, you cant miss him. That's the kind of person my mama warned me...
