The hotel is nice and it was clean. Location was close to shops, grocery stores, restaurants and Hospital. I felt safe being there even while traveling late at night alone with children. I had 2 disappointments while being there. I paid more per night for this hotel room compared to others in the same area. I thought it was due to the fact it had an indoor pool, which I wanted. While traveling with a toddler, I wanted her to have something to do in the evenings to help wear down some energy. She was so excited to use the pool only to get down to it and see how filthy it was. The water looked dirty and there was dirt and dead bugs sunk to the bottom. Also, the water wasnt even moving which made me think the filters werent working and also made me wonder how long it had sat there... I told the front desk worker and she was apologetic, but unfortunately there was nothing she could do. She said she would contact maintenance and get back with me. No one ever got back with me and it stayed dirty the remainder of my stay. It was a big inconvenience. It would have been nice to at least get a partial credit since I stayed 3 nights. Also, on my arrival night, I got there after midnight and again after traveling over 8 hours with a toddler I was looking forward to getting to go to sleep. Well, she was whiney and needed TV in a new place. There were only 10 out of the 50 channels that was working-- NONE of the cartoon channels worked, Only News channels. That didnt sit well with a kid. Again, I called the front desk and she said "I dont really know why its doing that but Ill talk to maintenance in the morning" No one ever got back with me. I got up that morning and drove to the store to buy an HDMI cord to connect my laptop and let her watch tv that way. The other channels didnt start working until the evening of my 2nd night. Sometimes things are out of the hotels control and I understand that. I was in town due to a dying family member so I didnt question them or argue about any of my issues, as I didnt have the energy. The hotel is a nice place and Im not saying I wouldnt stay there again..I just might not book in advance and ask to see a room and the pool...

Read moreWe have stayed here since it opened and have been alright with the service and cleanliness. It seemed no different than any other Hilton property, until today. We arrived to find an odd odor and bugs crawling on the ceiling, walls and lamps in our room. When we called to report it and get moved, the front desk told us that the hotel was sold out. Upon pressing her, she miraculously found us another room right above the one we left. Upon entering that room, more bugs. Less than the other room, but still there.
So we called back to the desk and asked them to book us at another Hilton property. They acknowledged this and would get back with the arrangements. Not wanting to hang around with the bugs, we went down to the lobby. Mind you this is all going on after 10pm. On the way down, we checked the Hilton app and saw that the Hilton Garden Inn across town had a room. When we got to the front desk, we were told that there were no rooms in town and that they had another room that miraculously came open, this one on the first floor. Funny how we went from booked solid to 2 open rooms in a matter of minutes.
While talking to the lady at the desk, my wife booked the other room across town, as it seems it was their last and with no help from this front desk person here. When asked about our points that were used to book the hotel, we were told to call back and speak to the General Manager the next day. Which we plan on doing. She also told us that they had been dealing with the bugs for over a week and she was taking the rooms out of service to fix the situation tonite. I’m just curious if they did or if they booked them for someone else.
We are not unreasonable people, and know that things happen. But being lied too and mislead is not how you attract customers or build loyalty. We liked the location, price point and proximity to areas of interest, but the flippant attitude towards a problem and the misleading nature of the staff is unacceptable and not something we have experienced at other Hilton properties. ...
