DO NOT RENT UNIT 1125. Please make sure to take the time to read the negative reviews regarding the noise level as I disregarded them prior to move in and was assured by the leasing office that âwe donât tolerate that hereâ when I toured. I have lived here for 3 weeks and will be moving out relatively soon. From day one I have been kept up by the occupant above me stomping and slamming doors (to the point my light fixtures rattled, And my dishes rattled in the cabinet). While I do believe people are heavy walkers, it is also abundantly clear (from experience and past reviews) that the building is cheaply made. You can hear everything and when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING. When I brought this to the leasing officeâs attention, I was informed initially that they would speak with the neighbor above me. Nothing improved. I then went back to the leasing office to express my concerns again, and this time the operations director (who never introduced herself but instead overheard my concerns to one of the leasing g specialists, chimed in expressing doubt over what I was experiencing. Not only was this unprofessional and tacky but it was also disheartening to know that my concerns after only 2 weeks of having been here, were being blatantly disregarded. The disregard was so apparent that I began taking videos in my own apartment of the noise and forwarding it to management as they seemed to think it was me being overly sensitive to noise. After accumulating SEVEN videos, management informed me that they asked the occupant to install carpeting/area rugs (which by the way, is required in the lease but was never enforced until I said something). We are now 3 days passed the area rug installation and the noise continues. The only options I have been given are to either 1) pay $500 security deposit and move to another building on the 3rd floor but be charged $450 extra per month OR 2) be charged two months worth of rent and terminate my lease. I explained that I found this to be ridiculous given that I will now have to pay for movers all over again after just 3 weeks but management has shown zero regard. They are quick to hold certain individuals to their lease agreement but excuse others which is perhaps why Roseland Management (management company of Signature Place) is not accredited by the better business bureau and has upwards of 5 complaints on the BBB website. PLEASE do yourself a favor and keep this in mind if youâre considering signature place. For the money you pay, you SHOULD not ever experience what I have gone through from day one. Donât be in awe of the community amenities because they mean absolutely nothing when you are involved in a nightmare situation with neighbors and unhelpful management.
Despite all of this, I will say that Katharine in the leasing office has been the most helpful out of the staff and has always been available for me to vent my frustration to. When you have to start recording noise in order for the management to believe you, you soon realize youâve made a grave mistake in your apartment search. Lastly, do not be fooled by any âsave faceâ response they put in reply to this review. They can say they enforced the occupant (above me) lease by asking them to install thicker rugs but the proof is in the pudding (or videos in this case). Yet they still refuse to provide any realistic solutions other than charging me well over $4,000 to simply be rid of this nightmare and be free to leave. Signature Place, more like...

My fiancĂ©e has been a travel nurse since 2020, dedicating her career to caring for others. Over the years, weâve lived in with multiple properties. Unfortunately, Veris was by far the most disappointing and disheartening experience weâve ever had.
MAJOR ISSUES: Unbearable Noise Levels: If youâre considering a 1st or 2nd-floor unit, be warnedâyour apartment will shake all day.
No Heat in the Winter: We endured an entire winter without working heat. Despite submitting multiple maintenance requests, the issue was ignored for so long that we had to take showers in vacant apartments. It was miserable.
Gas Leak Dismissed: We reported a gas leak that put our safety at risk, only to have management brush it offâuntil the gas company confirmed the danger. If we hadnât insisted on getting help, the consequences could have been catastrophic.
Unfair Charges: After moving out in the first week of the month, we were still forced to pay rent for the entire month. Unlike other properties that have been fair and flexible, Veris took advantage of us.
Complete Disregard for Healthcare Workers & First Responders: When my fiancée was between assignments, previous buildings allowed us to stay month-to-month at our current rate. Veris, however, offered to nearly double our rent to extend a month. It was financially and emotionally devastating..
False Accusations: A leasing office employee at the Morris Plains locationâwho also works at other Veris propertiesâmade a completely false and disturbing accusation against me. I wasnât even in the state at the time. The situation was surreal, unsettling, and made us feel unsafe and unwelcome.
Filthy Grounds: The grass at the Morris Plains location is consistently covered in dog feces, adding to the poor living conditions.
Despite marketing itself as a âluxuryâ apartment community, Verisâ favorite response to tenant complaints is: âThis is standard apartment living.â Itâs misleading, disingenuous, and a complete misrepresentation of what youâll actually experience.
BETTER OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE: If youâre considering renting in this area, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND looking at newer buildings nearby. They are the same price, offer better appliances, andâmost importantlyâhave far superior management and staff. You wonât have to deal with the noise, neglect, or outrageous policies that define Veris.
What was supposed to be our home became one of the most stressful experiences of our lives. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. There are much nicer, friendlier, and more flexible options in the area.

Read moreIf you are moving to the signature place for a year only it's fine, if longer - be ready for the steep rent increase (more than 10% in our case). As other comments already mentioned, the appliances are cheap, the dishwasher never cleaned the glasses well even with finish or lemi shine. We paid extra to have an apartment with the balcony but landscapers guys are so inconsiderate that they blow leaves to the balcony every single time and they didn't care at all. I've sent emails to management, spoken to them in the office, spoken to the landscapers guys and no change; at the end I just gave up and couldn't wait to move out. Every week I had to sweep the floor after the landscapers visited. Be ready for the fire alarm at 2 am; this year it happened 3 times. The amenity fees have gone up even though the jacuzzi was not working for 1 summer and next summer there was a shortage of lifeguards so the pool was closed sometimes. There is a handrail to the jacuzzi which was broken for years and no one fixed that as well. There is/ was a construction right across the street so the cars with construction materials were in and out from 7-8 am with beeping noises every time the car turned back. We couldn't open the windows because the dust from the construction site was coming our way. When we raised our concerns to the management, they advised US to contact the town and check if it's legal for the construction to start that early. After 3 years of being at a signature place we moved out but got cherry on the top - after 40 days we moved out the absurd fee with no any moving out report / check to support it (isn't it a law to get back to the tenant...
