I’m almost 40, and this is only the second review I’ve ever written in my life. That’s how bad this pizza was.
When I placed my order, the automated answering service repeated it back perfectly and gave me a total. But when I arrived for pickup, not only was the price higher than quoted, but they also got my order wrong.
Then came the pizza itself—an absolute disaster. It was ridiculously salty and greasy, with no real sauce, just cold marinara haphazardly dumped on top. I was shocked, especially considering all the great reviews.
This was beyond disappointing (and disgusting). They gave the place a facelift with fresh paint, but maybe they should focus on fixing the food instead. This pizza was so bad, I won’t be giving them...
Read moreHad this place twice so far, and omg their menu is like a city’s pizza place menu. They have several types of Detroit and Neapolitan pizzas with cheese such as Burrata, brick mozzarella, feta, and more. They have pizzas such as pickle pizzas, pizzas with pesto drizzle, balsamic drizzle, etc. their mozzarella moons are half circles of fried mozzarella, and they’re delicious. Their tater tots are good too. They are expensive so it’s not something to have often, but given the good quality ingredients they use, it’s no surprise that it’s pricey. The staff is very friendly, they try to get to know their customers and interact with them about food and...
Read moreThe 1946 was pretty good (thanks to all the cheese) altho, it may have been par-baked prior to topping an giving it a final bake as i saw the coke cooler behind the counter filled with par-baked square pie crusts stacked from top to bottom, unwrapped/covered. I completely understand why an operation may do something like this (cutting corners) with a thick Sicilian style pizza, but i prefer not to be deceived. I prefer fresh dough for my pizza. And for deserts, don't waste your money, the price point is way off. A half stale small slab of par-baked dough with some Nutella and strawberries for $14 is way overpriced... Not sure we will be back...
