So, the food is decent. The problem is, it gets extremely crowded with a very nasty crowd of patrons. I've been there two times. The customers ruin the atmosphere. With their children running all around, and some the women faces so turned up you afraid to look at them. The staff is partially friendly. The food is plentiful. But the customers ruin it, I literally watched a woman take all the crabs, as soon as they were brought out. Literally stood over top of them and picked through them and took more than half of the pan, 3 plate full of crabs at one time. This is something the employees can manage, they need to put a limit on how many crabs you get at a time. Cause clearly grown adults can't control themselves or think of other patrons. I watched children under 10 go up themselves while their parents just eat and not watch them, which is unsanitary cause children tend to just be unsanitary and not realize it, like the little girl taking the fries for her plate with her bare hands, as her mother sat in the back of the restaurant not watching her children. Bad thing is it's signs up saying children must be accompanied by an adult. Some of the food is really good, some is mid. However, besides the nasty, hood atmosphere due mostly to the patrons, we won't be returning. We watched a boy about 13 throw up right before he got in the bathroom. Two times less than 3 feet from the fruit bar and five feet from the hibachi bar. Idk if that boy and his family stayed in the restaurant or if they left but we left after seeing that. The Buffett did give us a discount because of this, which we appreciated and they asked us not to let that ruin our outlook. Which if you read this whole review that's not what ruined our return, and no it's not their fault they can't control their patrons in that manner but, it took at least 3-5 mins to start cleaning, and none of the food that was close by was closed off or covered up. Absolutely did not want to eat there again after that! Which is sad because price wise they are extremely affordable it is in a decent neighborhood but somehow gets less than decent patrons. They need to close for like a week. And revamp the whole Buffett. Implement the rules, not allow loud ghettoization type of behavior and maybe advertise their new look and atmosphere to a higher clientele. Which means raise their prices! Look at the nearby restaurants the more higher priced ones have a better atmosphere and patronage. Then you have this place and olive garden where the hood patrons go! If they changed the restaurant cleaned it up rearranged seating as well as food placement further away from the bathroom and raised the prices they will do much better! They will get a better customer base who won't mind paying a little more for decent food in a good neighborhood in a better atmosphere. They need to take a look at why they have a certain demographic of customers. Such a shame cause my children love it. It's the lack of management that has us refusing to come back. I would get that place in tip top shape and re-open with a new face, new menu, and...
Read moreWhat a unique establishment. I'm not aware of anything else like it in this area. There is plenty of free off street parking and is handicapped accessible. The prices are good and the staff is friendly and they work hard to make your visit a pleasant one. I really like this establishment. This is a buffet so you select your food and serve yourself. A waitress will serve non-alcoholic drinks and clear the table of used plates if/when you go back for additional food. Don't forget to tip the ladies. They're working pretty hard to serve you, even if you are getting your own food. So many varieties of seafood and it's so hard to choose. It's great that it's an all you can eat buffet, this way you can try a little of everything from sushi, fish, crabs, Chinese and the hibachi grill. I usually head for the hibachi grill and choose my ingredients. They always seem to be noodles, shrimp and mushrooms, cooked with teriyaki sauce. There are other selections available but this is my favorite combination. If I'm is a rut, it's a great rut for me to be in! My mouth is watering now, just thinking about it! While that is being cooked, I'll try selecting some sushi if I'm feeling adventurous, clams and shrimp. There is a tip jar for the hibachi grill cooks. I always give something to these hard working guys there. If I still have some room, I'll get some mashed potatoes, corn and sauteed mushrooms. There is a selection of deserts. There are pies, cakes, cookies and vanilla or chocolate soft serve ice cream. I'm only scratching the surface of what is available here. There is so much to choose from. You can check out their menu and prices on-line. Additionally, you will find discount coupons available there. Telling you about this wonderful place has me wanting to go there for dinner today. If you go, I think you will be glad that you did and will surely return. Maybe I'll ...
Read moreFor what you spend and for what you get, it's pretty nice. I've been there twice in the last couple of months. The salad bar is okay, nothing special, but the fruit bar is nice. The sushi is always good. It's not the best, certainly not the worst. But it certainly beats the local supermarket, and it's all you can eat. The soup is hot. I only had hot and sour. There's a Hibachi type grill. The steak. Isn't that great, but it's alright, shrimp is small. It's good and the vegetables are fine. It would be nice if they had some A1. There were pork ribs but I don't need them very much so I can't really say much about them except that they were very edible, plenty of meatThe rest of the food is shrimp, which is every kind. You can imagine not Forest Gump, but I think ten different ways. Cooked and cold. Butterfly, coconut, habachi. The chicken sticks are good. I've even had the pizza, and when it's hot, it's actually pretty tasty. They always have somebody's cakes. They're a national brand they don't make them in the house. It's as good as anything you get in a supermarket, maybe a little better. The ice cream machine is great. Everybody goes there, and the fudge is nice when they have it or chocolate. I like the lunch better than dinner it wasn't as packed with people. I think the chairs are a better bet than the bench. They could use a little cushion on the bench. Overall, as far as the clean place, it's pretty clean. It's definitely blue-collar or retired hard-working people. If you've been Rome, I would say it was for the plebs. You won't find any big-time executives here. But then again, dinner for under 20 bucks, and that included a tip. Really. Lunch was the same but less. They do give senior 60 and...
