I paid for a new PS5 pro and the cashier brought out a box that was damaged in several places and the seal was broken. I told him I didn't want that one. It looked like it was used and returned. He said he could not give me a different console because I paid for that one with the serial number, but he could put the console in a different box. I said no, I'll return it and buy a new one without a damaged box. My concern was that the console would be damaged. So he took the one in the damaged box to the back room (it took him a while) and brought back one where the seal was open. I don't know for sure, but I suspected he exchanged the same console for a new box like he said. I told him no, because the seal was broken. I said I just wanted my money back, which he did, but he was very angry and rude about it. I went next door and bought one for the same price at Target with a new box and it was sealed. Target also gives a 30 day return policy and Game Stop has just a 7 day return policy. Game Stop removed all my credits from my membership when they refunded my money. I won't be doing business...
Read moreGamestop is no longer as convienent and suprisingly even less customer friendly than previous. i bought a Controller here a year ago that is notorious for some faulty wear and tear early in thier life, I was offered thier PRP(product repalcnt plan?) under the guise of a warranty with a new replacement that I could return and exchange on the same day. Which used to be the case but now they can only replace with pre owned/refurbished items. To add insult to injury they are mailed only, cant be picked up or delivered to a store; which is another big inconvenience while being in a college town with a fair amount of porch pirates. The convienece of getting a replacement same day is no longer available, and it is for only, and was denied to do a store credit which was previously allowed. This policy change that has reduced the value of the warranty and has become an inconvenience I cant help but feel like I have been duped. TLDR: Gamestop pulled a bait and switch with thier warranty process and is as convienent as getting a replacement via online or from other merchants. Edit: The refurbished controller...
Read moreI used to buy a lot of games from GameStop have to say they always deliver a good experience every time I walk in the store. Games are expensive in general, therefore you always want to make sure what game you want - that's where the staff comes in. The staff is highly informative and try their best to show you game that might appeal to you in some way. I don't play games anymore however if I'm sending somebody a game as a Christmas gift this is probably the place to go in town. The staff is friendly, intelligent, I know a lot about other stuff too. If you have a question about computers or any kind of tech thing they really do know what they're talking about. Great games, clean store, professional environment, and most importantly a wonderful five star experience. Thank you GameStop employees for doing a good...
