Buffalo Wild Wings, despite its popularity and widespread presence, is often criticized by customers and receives low ratings for several reasons. Here are some common complaints that contribute to its one-star rating:
Poor service: One of the most frequent complaints about Buffalo Wild Wings is the subpar service. Many customers report long waiting times for their orders, inattentive staff, and slow service overall. Some patrons have experienced rude or unprofessional behavior from the servers, which can significantly diminish the dining experience. Inconsistent food quality: Another significant factor leading to Buffalo Wild Wings' low rating is the inconsistent quality of their food. While some locations may serve decent wings and appetizers, many customers have reported receiving undercooked or overcooked food, cold dishes, and orders with missing items. This lack of consistency can be frustrating for customers who expect a certain level of quality from a chain restaurant. Noisy and crowded atmosphere: Buffalo Wild Wings is known for its sports bar atmosphere, which can be appealing to some customers. However, for others, the excessive noise, large crowds, and packed seating arrangements can make it challenging to enjoy a meal or hold a conversation. This loud and chaotic environment can be off-putting for those seeking a more relaxed dining experience. Limited menu options for non-wing eaters: Despite its name, Buffalo Wild Wings does not offer an extensive menu beyond its signature wings. This can be disappointing for customers who do not enjoy or cannot eat wings, as the alternatives tend to be limited and often lack variety. This lack of options can be a deterrent for individuals or groups with diverse preferences or dietary restrictions. Pricing and value for money: Some customers feel that Buffalo Wild Wings is overpriced for what it offers. The menu prices, particularly for their wing selections and alcoholic beverages, can be higher compared to other similar establishments. Given the aforementioned issues with service and food quality, many patrons feel that the experience does not justify the cost, resulting in a poor value for money perception. Cleanliness and hygiene concerns: Several negative reviews highlight cleanliness issues in Buffalo Wild Wings locations, including dirty tables, unclean restrooms, and overall untidiness. Customers have expressed their disappointment with the lack of attention to cleanliness, which can significantly impact the dining experience and raise concerns about food safety and...
Read moreThe good: Excellent onion rings! Decent mozzarella sticks.
The bad: Everything else.
First, it took over 30 minutes just to get in the door. I got a dancing/flashing coaster and waited in my car because there weren't enough places to sit. Finally got in and was weaved through the entire place with two handicap individuals in my party (who barely fit through the aisles the whole way) past three empty tables to a table in the far back room. The TVs were so loud we could not hear each other across the table and I immediately got a headache. I finally got someone to turn down the TV right over my head, which helped a lot, and for a reward the college kids across from me glared at me.
Now to order. The menu was straightforward and easy to read. I ordered the appetizer sampler tray and some fried pickles to share and each of the three I was with ordered a medium basket of wings. We all got a single soda. The total bill was almost $80!! I expected the food to be amazing for that price. I was VERY disappointed.
We ordered two Pepsis, a Cherry Pepsi and a Root Beer. The person who ordered the Cherry Pepsi got Root Beer and everyone else got regular Pepsi. It took several minutes of shuffling and sipping and arguing with the waitress to actually get everyone the drinks they wanted. Then came the food, about 15 minutes later.
The fried pickles were too sour. The nachos were soggy and the chili on the nachos was so spicy I couldn't eat it (I was told they were mild). The onion rings were amazing though! The mozzarella sticks were pretty good but cooled too fast and tasted bad cool. The wings were about 1:4 chicken:bread ratio with overdone crunchy breading and dry stringy chicken that tasted akin to shoe leather. The sauces were either so thick that you couldn't taste anything else or find chicken in the sauce, so sweet they made you nauseous or so thin you could barely find them depending on the order. A couple tasted okay but none were what I would call exceptional. Pizza Hut makes MUCH better wings for half the price.
All said neither I nor anyone in my party will ever be returning. The drunk college kids can keep the place, it is not for the sober or anyone who knows how to socialize...
Read moreNormally BWW in Moscow is really good and the service as well...except today. For starters, we get there around 1pm and were seated in the back. There was a couple that was seated next to us. We waited a while and no one came to take our order. I turned to the couple next to us and noticed the lady looked annoyed. I asked if anyone had come to take their order yet being as they were there before us. She said no and that they had been there at least 10 min before us. I got up and went to talk to the hostess and saw an employee walk in with a purse on my way to the front. I asked one of the two hostesses standing there if there was any servers working and told them that we were waiting for a while and the couple sitting next to us has been waiting longer and no one has come over to take our orders. Both hostesses looked at each other like they were clueless as to what I had just asked them. The one that sat us said she will go find out what the server is doing... I said not working and walked off. Another 5 min goes by and finally comes a server.... it was the gal who walked in when I was heading to the hostess counter! Did she just show up to work? If so, why on earth would the hostesses seat customers in an area where no one is working?? Though the server was nice... she was very slow. She did offer chips to us and the other couple which took a while to get, along with our drinks. When we finally received our food, I asked for more napkins. 15 min later I finally got up and got my own from an attended counter. We were just getting done eating and wrapping up when she came with the napkins. I told her I had gotten some already. She did bring us drink refills which was nice, but other than that, she never came around to ask us if we needed anything. The restaurant wasn't busy by all means. I ended up tipping her due to her being nice, but the service was bad. I tipped less than the suggested amount. I believe servers should be tipped, but I also believe they should earn it. It isn't a given. This place was very disappointing today. It will be a while...long while before I go back. I have heard it's been getting bad, but now I experienced it. What...
