I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with this business, which was truly disappointing. I had booked an appointment for a traditional sew-in on November 19th, and while I initially tried to be patient and understanding, the customer service and overall experience were extremely frustrating.
First, communication was poor from the start. I texted the business multiple times before my appointmentâasking about ordering hair and confirming whether the service included washing and conditioningâbut received no response. I tried reaching out via Instagram and even double-checked the contact number listed on the website, but still got no reply. When I finally did hear back, it was a brief, unwelcoming message that answered only the questions I asked, with no attempt at building any rapport or offering helpful guidance.
On the day of my appointment, I arrived on time (even a bit early) to ensure I wouldnât be late, as per the business's website policy. However, when I walked in, I wasnât greeted warmlyâno introduction or check-in, just a quiet, almost dismissive response. The vibe was off from the start. I was made to wait over an hour past my scheduled appointment time, with no explanation or apology for the delay. When she finally started working on my hair, there was no sense of enthusiasm or professionalism. She seemed disinterested, and I got the impression she was rushing through the process.
The quality of the service itself was disappointing, too. During the blow-drying and braiding, I could tell she wasnât fully engaged. She made comments that sounded like she was annoyed or tired, and when it came time to add the hair, the texture didnât match what I had expected or what was advertised on the website. The hair felt thick and bouncy when she was done, but when I tried to style it later, it became rough and tangled, despite following her instructions on how to care for it.
To make matters worse, the color of the hair didnât match my natural jet black hair. When I saw it in daylight, it was clearly a brown shade, not even dark brown like I had been told. The hair also wasnât the quality I had expectedâwhen I went to a stylist for layers, they informed me that the hair wasnât human hair at all, but some synthetic blend that couldnât handle heat styling. This was a huge disappointment, as I had paid a premium price for what I believed was high-quality, human hair.
In the end, I feel like I was misled, overcharged, and given poor service. I spent a lot of hard-earned money expecting a top-notch experience, but instead, I received bad attitude, subpar hair, and an overall negative experience. I paid deposit and I was supposed to get my hair done the day before my wedding, but guess what the owner was not there. I was not late,I got there 30 min early because based on her website she donât deal with late appointment and I didnât want that to happen. I waited outside, called , text , inbox her on Instagram but no response. She got back to me 45 min later and said she didnât know she had anyone coming, or she supposed to be off and she isnât sure how her own website let me booked. Really??? All she said was sorry, even when I told her it was my wedding the next day, she didnât feel bad or didnât say anything else.I even asked her if she can recommend any other stylist she knows. But this girl all said was sorry! Do you know how crazy itâs is to trying to find stylist on Friday? I literally called nearly 40 hair salons before I got luck with one late that night. I wouldnât suggest this place , specially if itâs for ur special day. She literally gave me headache, ruined the entire day and almost ruined my big day. And on the top of that she never return my deposit. I talked to her multiple times and she hasnât. Please be careful people. You are lier!! You never return my money back. I used to be very loyal bc the hair felt really good and you didnât have to buy another wig for 6 months to a year 1/2 if you took basic care. I still have wigs that a few years ago that are in okay condition. Now it feel likes the frontals (specifically) are made of a synthetic blend, which is very misleadin. I think I take good care of them and they still end up tangled throughout the day which is a disaster if you try to comb through at the end of the day because then you end up with copious amounts of shedding. I havenât had my current one for more than a month and the shedding is so bad. Iâm already seeing a bald spot form. It is really disappointing to see....
