Iām going to be honest and Iām sure the owners will not like it, but I have to stand by this review. Treasure Marts of Mount Doraāthe sad shell of what could be a promising store, over saturated by your typical farm house booths, resellers, and total junk collectors. The cave-like atmosphere with insufficient lighting is less than welcoming. While you may find a few antiques here, you wonāt find anything worth value unless youāre in the market for say, a pack of paper towels, or a used 2016 model Norelco shaver, or shelves full of overpriced non collectibles like tools and vases. When I visit the other Treasure Marts, in Eustis, the selection of vendor type is vetted. You wonāt find someone hauling their unused laundry supplies to open a booth, or a thousand farm house booths. How many booths do we need that sell the same thing? Farm house and beach booths threw up in this store, not in a good way. $5 Will get you a nice, brand new roll of paper towels. What is that? āI have to run to Treasure Marts and get my laundry detergent for the weekā said no one ever. Additionally, seeing a Hobby Lobby sticker or Dollar Tree sticker on the back of decor, and then seeing that booth owner tack a major price onto it is honestly shady business. Iāve been here and given this particular location 5 chances over the span of 3 years and each time, we loop the store and weāre done, having found very little interest in almost any of the items. Many of these items over the last three years have not even moved. It is a lost opportunity on the storeās part to not better vet their vendors. The store really feels like a hostless flea market more than a store that sells antiques or anything of vintage value as opposed to āthatās just old and overpricedā. In general, those who pick and choose the vendors need to revisit their selection and let the vendors know what makes a store like this special because the cup is leaking, and eventually there will be no more juice left in the cup. Visit elsewhere, or any of the other locations, really for a more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery bad experience here. We had purchased one of the blind date with a book items that advertised two books āhistorical , fantasyā. We wrongly assumed by that description comma that there would be historical AND a fantasy.
So we brought it back (same day) and said we had an issue and the person working there immediately yelled ā NO RETURNS.ā A simple no return in a regular voice would have done it, but this was over the top.
We tried to explain, that the item wasnāt properly described, we brought everything back in perfect condition and that we were curious about a resolution (like a refund or exchange) and again they yelled āno returnsā.
Ok. We said, no thank you, you can put this back on the shelf, no refund needed since it was seven dollars and what we really wanted was an accurate selection of books and they picked up the books and yelled ādoes anyone want some free fantasy books!ā
Can honestly say Iāve never been yelled at before at any store, especially over a seven dollar item, but I wonāt be going back for it to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI could have sat and looked all day long I did find some great deals. I want to say it would be nice to have people walk around and check on your guest as you walk in it was my first time arriving there. I was ignored by the people that are running the business which really is not the way a business should be run at least they could have explained the whole situation to me. I am a new comer to this establishment so they should at least stop what they're doing and say are you new here? I think they would have many more people if they would acknowledge the customers that are in the store and explain what's going on. Other than that it's a fantastic store lots to look at spend the day. I just think they need better people working there that acknowledge the people they would have so much sales...
