Mount Dora Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Mount Dora

I am new to the area and dined here after reading the positive reviews. I must say I was disappointed by both the service and food. I ordered the chicken parmesan with fettuccine alfredo. When it arrived it looked very appetizing, put once I cut into the chicken I realized they but alfredo sauce on the chicken instead of red sauce. One of the servers (not mine) came by and offered to correct it, which was fine. I waited and waited and by the time my boyfriend had finished his meal they brought me my meal which would have been ok had it been hot and fresh. It was as if they took the old piece of chicken and scraped the wrong sauce and cheese off and flipped it over to hide what they did and remade the old chicken. It was very soggy, also the alfredo sauce on the pasta was flavorless. The waitress never even apologized for the mistake and seemed very annoyed by us being there. We came in 1 hour before closing, but due to their mistakes were there about 10 minutes after closing. I found it very rude that they were in such a rush to have us go and that they were visibly annoyed by our presence. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because my boyfriends meal was decent. I suggest if you dine here to go well before closing and maybe only order something...

I have heard many many people say this is the best pizza joint in the Mount Dora general area. I have tried many different places, and I have now tried this place three times.

Is it authentic New York Pizza? No. I don't think they're claiming to be that either exactly.

Is it good? Absolutely. And the experience is pretty authentic. If you're getting takeout as I have each time, your interaction is pretty much limited to stating your name and paying for your order. But they were professional and courteous, and there was a kitchen full of people madly working away cooking food.

This is a good place. I have liked all of the pizzas I have ordered. I haven't tried anything else yet, because I wanted pizza. I would say of all of the places I have tried so far in the area? This is the best one.

Also, every time I've been there I've been far from the only one waiting for a takeout order and the restaurant has been full. So obviously a lot of other people agree.

I didn't take pictures because the food was too good! On the recommendation of a friend we made the hour-long trip to Mt. Dora for some authentic Italian cuisine. What the heck do I know about Italian food, but my friend is Sicilian, so why not? Our waitress was as sweet as sugar! We get the mozz sticks as an app, and it was fine. But boy when the food came out... I had the gnocchi and it was fresh and piping hot! They were soft and tender! Super good! My friend had the veal Parmesan and the veal was incredibly flavorful and tender! The sauce was a real sauce, it was a meat sauce. The fettuccine he ordered to go with his veal was also super fresh and tender! We ordered the canolies for dessert and boy they were perfect! We even ordered a Togo pizza and it is the best pizza you can buy! Overall amazing! Love this place please eat good food here just took a pic...
