I left a review just a few months ago and it doesnât surprise me to see it removed. No wonder this place has the rating it has. Unbelievable.
My Husband and I were looking at jewelry here in March. Not our first choice but with COVID shutting down everything, it was one of the few stores open. Our initial impression of the place was not great. The decor is gaudy and pawnshop like and the staff wasnât attentive and seem preoccupied (ie: 2 staff members were openly texting on the sales floor). I feel like if you have a couple in a jewelry store ready and willing to make a big purchase, you treat them as such.
After we were finally helped, I had a necklace that needed resizing so I decided to go ahead and get that out of the way since we were already there. It cost me $25. Very reasonable and they did a great job. But thatâs not the issue.
When I took it in for repair just one month after (the chain had snapped). They not only charged me DOUBLE the price (and blamed it on gold going up- like that has anything at all to do with repairing a silver necklace) they also did an absolutely terrible job. It looks like something I could have done. The chain has a huge bubble in the metal where they ârepairedâ it.
DO NOT go to this jewelry store. It, in no way, deserves the rating it has. If you want awful, second rate jewelry, this is the place. But if you want quality jewelry with fantastic service and an experience worth remembering, go to a more reputable...
Read moreTook my heirloom watch in for a battery. Expensive Corum. When I picked it up it was not running. Brought it back and was told something was internally wrong. After talking to "the expert" on the phone I was told it needed a new movement $350. Told him I wanted to just get the watch back. Figured I would send it in to Corum for their opinion. On the day of the pickup the watch was not back in Mt Juliet from the guy in Brentwood. The next day I received a call from the watchmaker telling me he had broken one of the hands and that was the problem. Said he would cover the cost of the hands. I still had to pay for the repair. He seemed very nervous on the call. The watch ran for a couple of months after that it then quit again. So they created the problem with the first battery. Then created the new problem. (I have never opened the watch). Let's see. I paid for a battery replacement. Two repair charges and my watch is now broken. Seems like he damaged my watch and tried to get me to pay for the new movement then got caught when I wanted it back. Be careful with your watches here. They will damaged it then...
Read moreI had a mixed experience at American Jewelry Company, I went in early December so there was an early Christmas crowd but I felt that even with the crowd I was made to wait extra long before I was even acknowledged. Then I was finally helped by the woman who had been chatting with a co-worker for about 10 mins. Once she engaged me she was nice and relatively knowledgeable for helping me create a unique jewelry item. The price wasn't the cheapest but given that I created this on my own it was worth paying a premium. I thought they sourced everything well and the parts that they had to create on site were also good quality craftsmanship. The item was completed in a timely manner and I was notified quickly. Upon my return again I had to wait a long time and my own salesperson didn't recognize me from just 3 days earlier. I've had better customer service experiences especially when purchasing something of high value, never the less the item turned out well and I...
