Do not take your pet here. We took my cockapoo puppy in for his first groom. They were rude and reprimanded us for not having him groomed at 5 months, even though his fur was perfectly fine. When we picked him up we paid $89 (with tip) and when they brought him out he looked worse than when we brought him in. His beard was wet and unshaven, his fur was not fully groomed, and his face was cut lazily and crappily. They claimed they couldn’t do a full groom because he was “hard on the table to handle” but we’ve taken him to other places for nail trims and never had any issues. He’s acting weird and lethargic now, and we’re concerned that he was muzzled or sedated, even though he is not in any form a vicious or bitey dog. Horrid experience, terrible groom, and horrendous customer service. Never take your pet here.
*: The owner’s response is the epitome of disrespectful and narcissistic. Blaming and shaming and gaslighting the customer is never the correct response. My puppy is perfectly healthy, and having a groom at 9 months is perfectly reasonable, as his fur was long but in no way matted, and he was in absolutely no pain until after the groom. He was visibly shaken and lethargic, and while I am happy to hear no sedation or muzzle was used, he’s had other experiences at nail places (which are totally valid), where he did perfectly fine. As for the “puppy groom” that sounds like a wonderful way to gauge customers by doing the bare minimum. Also, anytime you put “but” after a phrase, the only thing you mean is what you said after the but. Case and point: “We hope you have better luck in the future with another groomer BUT it was really not fair to your dog to wait until 9 months to bring him in to get groomed.” Simply...
Read moreVANDY is our new addition being a beautiful golden doodle, we are her family- being a new animal family - oh wow- how much we had to learn. Not in a bad way just everyone wants to give their 2 cents. We ALWAYS have our amazing breeder to bounce questions off of… but this is how we found mutts & meows. I quickly found out I would never EVER wash my dog in our tub ever again, plus she had ALOT of hair at the root that would needed to be dried. We went in and was able to wash, and condition her safely without my bathroom smelling like wet puppy, fresh towels, hair dryer and it was a positive experience for me, our puppy and our son. Which we were checked on by the staff. At this time I realized my washed and dried were great but I realized I also needed a groomer. We met Pursley while we were there and VANDY went right to her. As I’m sure these ladies hold a tight schedule she stopped turned knelt down, and rubbed Vandy and spoke with me I asked her a numerous amount of questions and I booked her for a grooming appt. So ffwd to our 2nd apt with Pursley- VANDY literally pulled my arm out of my socket just to get to Pursley- which again validated my choice to go to Pursley. Everyone i/we have encountered here has been crazy helpful. Lots of helpful information that actually matches with our vets. They communicate well. I cannot begin to THANK EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM FOR TAKING CARE of this new PUPPY family and our proud addition!! We don’t feel like a #, we feel like a NAME! Thank you Mutts snd Meows for making us feels like family. (Please excuse any typos)

Read moreMutts and Meows is the best!! Brianna is so kind and so knowledgeable, and has quickly become our pup’s favorite person to visit in East Nashville. She’s helped us find a diet that works for him and his specific needs, while also helping to keep it all within our budget. They even deliver, which has saved us on more than one occasion with a new baby at home!
We also used their grooming for the first time, and it’s incredible. The tubs and driers are clean and easy to use, and the grooming staff did an amazing job on our dog’s nails with the Dremel (and he’s not an easy one!!) They’ve thought of everything, from the blueberry facial to ear cleaning to adorable bandannas.
I could write for ages on how much we love Mutts and Meows—we can’t recommend...
