Harbor Freight — Local services in Mount Pleasant

I live approximately 20 miles from the Mt. Pleasant location, so anytime I visit this location, it is a planned event. I went in today to purchase the Predator Cultivator in their ad. Looking on line the advertisement stated to better hurry, there was limited stock. Since there was an additional savings of $20 that expired today, and my wife and I needed to go to Mt. Pleasant for another item, I stopped by to make the purchase. Upon arrival there is a tag in front of the item that contains tags, which there were several in the holder. I took one up to the counter, after waiting in line, to only be told that there were none in stock. I was told I could check back in a week when the next truck arrived, but obviously the savings would not be honored. Now I do understand that inventory management is sometimes difficult, but to have two sources of media elude to the item being in stock, when it actually wasn't suggests a disconnect somewhere. I will continue to look.

It's harbor freight... I mean, you probably know what it is if you are thinking of shopping there. A lot of import tools. A large percentage are mediocre, but they have been making an attempt to improve quality. Unfortunately, now that they have introduced some higher quality told, it seems they've started to jack up the price on the low end stuff as well.

You will still almost certainly be able to find a deal or two. I've found that if you are willing to put the time in going through a brand new tool and make improvements to it, that you can come out much further ahead on large shop tool purchase. You just can't expect it to be a useable item right...
