GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE. Last night I bought a Christmas tree with my family, and when checking out a salesgirl asked what color of ribbon on the tree was, I said there wasn't a ribbon on it, and she was "absolutely positive" it had a white ribbon and I didn't really think much of it. Then she rung it up and it was over $200, which was pretty shocking for a fairly small tree. I asked if she was sure she got the price right as something wasn't really adding up, she assured me she did. Then, I heard another worker say quietly to her "it was yellow" and I watched her literally giggle and shush him. They spoke quietly for awhile in front of me, him repeatedly telling her she was overcharging us and her telling him she knew and to be quiet. I told her I could literally hear them and asked them to measure the tree, lo and behold it was the yellow price range. It's one thing to get the price wrong but it was clearly intentional and she was talking about it directly in front of me while laughing about it. To make matters worse when I contacted management they said she was laughing about an earlier customer (? completely ignoring that I heard everything VERY clearly and that Is absolutely not what happened) and left it at that. Disappointed is an understatement and we went from loyal customers to...
Read moreWell, I love the location and set up of this establishment. The last time we went a few days ago the staff was great and everybody’s super friendly and helpful, but the produce that we received was not great quality for The prices that we spend, I expect good produce. I bought a seedless and a seed watermelon. They were both very bland no flavor and definitely not sweet. I also purchased a honeydew melon. That was tasteless and didn’t even seem like it was ripe enough to have been pulled off the vine. We bought two jars of watermelon, pickles and they were hard as brick not edible. I haven’t had a chance to dive into the other produce that we got, but I will update my...
Read moreNice little roadside farm market, but cannot compare to the old Boone Hall Farm market. We would always make a trip to the old market every time we traveled to the Charleston area & loved the wide selection of items-from the fresh produce to baked goods, wine & unique gifts. We were in town last week & literally the first thing we did was drive out to Mt. Pleasant-only to find the market gone. What a disappointment......we did buy several things, but honestly-I don't see us coming back on future visits. There was something so special about the old market & we looked forward to shopping there every time we...
