Lux Nails & Spa is a quality salon if you are looking for a convenient place to get your nails done for an event, night out, or holiday. However, if you are looking for an extreme makeover or super high-quality nail art, this place might not be your first choice. It worked for what I was looking for in a nail salon, which was just a simple manicure and my nails done from time to time. Overall, this is a good salon because it offers a nice range of services, has reasonably low prices, is located in a safe area with a pleasant atmosphere, and has acceptable customer service and comfort.
The services offered at Lux Nails & Spa range from acrylic and SNS manicures to pedicures, waxing, and massages. They even offer a cheaper and more age appropriate manicure and pedicure for children under 12. You can certainly bring your younger children here with you; there are TVs to keep them happy and a family friendly atmosphere. Some days the salon even provides food and drinks to customers, especially on weekends. They also occasionally offer special discounts, which is definitely a bonus. The prices are moderate for the different services they provide, not extremely high or low. I have heard of nail salons that charge a good deal more and a few that charge less as well. I think the price matches the quality of service and nails.
Lux Nails & Spa is located at the Five Forks Corners Shopping Center in Lilburn next to the Publix. There is plenty of parking because of the location, and it is also close to a gym, a pizza place, and a few other businesses. The facility is pleasant on the inside as well. It is clean and peaceful, with no loud music or noises. There are plenty of nail stations and chairs; the space is large enough for a pretty big amount of people.
The customer service I have experienced there has been decent. I have never had to wait long at Lux Nails & Spa, probably because of the numerous nail stations and work areas I mentioned before. They also have many employees that will immediately help you with your appointment. Walk-ins and online appointments are both welcome. I have never made an appointment, yet I have always been immediately seated upon entrance to the salon. Every nail technician I have had has been friendly and attentive, making me feel very comfortable. Some are more talkative than others, but I usually prefer to be somewhat quiet and enjoy the silence.
One item of concern I have about this salon is that the manager and some of the employees can be slightly pushy about different services that they think you should get. Even after I politely declined a pedicure and said I was just there to get my nails done, one of the ladies at the front continued to pressure me to get a pedicure or another extra service. The manager will also continue to bother you about “liking” their salon on social media and following them. I have found that if you are able to say no to their repetitive badgering, your experience can only get better from there.
In conclusion, I have always been satisfied with my nails from Lux Nails & Spa. My only problem with this salon is the forcefulness from some of the employees. I cannot comment on other services such as the facials or massages, but I am content with the nail service. Altogether, from my experiences there, Lux Nails & Spa has decently low prices, a beautiful and clean salon, and satisfactory...
Read moreI went here on a Sunday with my wife. My wife got a pedicure and manicure, I only wanted a manicure this trip. This was our first time to the shop, first let me start by saying the lady who you first make contact with who I think may be the owner by the way she bosses everyone around is very rude with no sense of customer service at all. I had to tell her 3 times I only wanted a manicure, she then proceeded to show us to the pedicure chair. I was ok with waiting as it is Sunday before school starts they are in a new location and I expected it to be busy. Finally after a 10 minutes wait a nail Tech begins to work on my wife. The tech was very nice and did her job efficiently, but once again it took my wife 3 times to explain to her what she wanted done to her nails. The tech was so busy trying to up sell my wife on a organic nail treatment she was not really listening. Meanwhile I simply waited just thinking ok I guess since we came together they will just take us both to nail station at the same time and do the pedicure. I had no problem with that again understanding how busy they were, however once my wife was finished and they showed her to the nail station no one said anything goes to me. My wife's pedicure Tech turned and asked the pit Boss about my manicure and she quickly assigned her another station to go and do pedicure. I waited 10 more minutes trying to be patient and really give them a chance to make things right. No one ever came over to me again or even acknowledged my presence as a customer. In the end I spent almost 2 hours waiting patiently and I guess spending time with my wife. No problem with spending time with my wife but I can think of 100 better ways to do that. I will never open the door to this business again. So make sure if you plan on going here it's not a Sunday and you have plenty of time to kill because it appears if your not a regular or not paying for manicure and pedicure and getting gel with S@S you are not a priority. I hope your experience is better then mine. Funny thing is I was the one who talked wife into trying the new shop just goes to show new is not...
Read moreIf you have a complaint, IT WILL BE A PROBLEM! I got my nails done and the tech really didn’t listen nor do a great job. That was ok because he was kind and I know all techs are different. Afterwards I went to the mgr TINA to explain my complaint. I was kind and professional and I pulled her to the side because I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings nor cause a scene. She told me keep it, next time make an appointment with who you like. I said no I would like to get it fixed. She told me to go to the nail shop across the street. I was so surprised because I came in a kind manner, wanting them fixed. I felt stereotyped because I am a young African American whom she thought did not have money and wanted to get over. FYI I’m a travel nurse (Enough said). Long story short I paid extra to get their mistakes fixed. It should have been a free service because my nails truly looked bad. Too thick, polish missing on sides, etc. My fingers looked liked bubbles were on top. I could feel the thickness when I closed my hand. She even told me they’re pretty, keep them, and ask for Sweet Tea next time. There will not be a next time. I did tell her that was very unprofessional because she was suppose to listen to me and try to fix the problem. She finally said you have to pay first. Money was never an issue ma’am! Truly it should have been free to fix, but whatever. But once I made my statements of how I already paid $77, $15 more was no issue. See I’m a black chick, with braids, late 20s. You get the picture. She thought I was financially unstable and ghetto. No, been an RN 7 years, traveling in my profession. This is not important but I had to put it out there that “WE” get money too. After she finally granted me service to get it fixed, I was reaching her my card. She said “pay after cause I don’t know what she’s gonna do”. But before I mentioned I was a nurse ($$$) ummhmm it was “Pay first”. Y’all get where I’m going. Other than that It’s a great place if you don’t have an issue with how things are done. Ask for SWEET TEA...
