I've had a couple bad experience here in the past and decided this evening that I needed to write this review. My daughter's prescription was sent over to Publix Pharmacy around 2pm today. I called the pharmacy at 5:58pm to see if the prescriptions were ready. The person on the phone stated that they would notify by text when it is ready for pickup. I received a text at 6:04pm stating that 1 prescription is ready for pickup. I do know that I have 2 prescriptions so I gave them some time and arrived at the pharmacy at 6:30pm assuming that the second prescription will be ready as well. There were 3 people in front of me who said they waited for 20 minutes. I waited about 15 minutes before they help me. They only had 1 prescription ready and the second one was "not ready". They asked if I could wait another 45 minutes. Of course not, I don't want to waste my time. I told them that I would come back tomorrow morning. They said 'thank you' but really this is not the first time they did this. Note to self, they are not efficient and you should only come when you get all the text messages that all the prescriptions are ready for pickup. Suggestion: call them to make sure they received the prescription from your doctor, ask them how long for the wait, then after receiving the text that it is ready call them again to verify that it is indeed ready so you won't waste your time. If the medicine is urgent, your best bet is to show up and tell them that you will wait there for the prescription and of course it will take about 45 minutes. Another bad experience was when the prescription was sent over in the morning and that late afternoon it wasn't even ready when I called them. They were about 1-1/2 hour til closing and I really needed the medicine that day so I requested that they fill it. Sigh several bad experiences at this pharmacy. You would think I learned my lessons and how they operate by now. They really should have a better form of communication by either phone or text message. Once again I still don't understand why only one prescription was ready and the other one was not without a reasonable explanation. Poor excuse and service. Although, the head pharmacist and two male pharmacists working there were always helpful. They do have 1 person taking drop-off prescriptions, 2 pharmacists, and another person handling pick-ups. Read moreI recently changed locations because this one wasn't helpful. I asked them how to receive notifications on when my prescriptions would be ready. They had my correct contact information on file. They just told me that it had to do with my cell phone carrier. So I had decided to transfer my prescriptions to another Publix pharmacy that is closer to where I work. When I told them that I was not receiving any notifications, the lady told me to download the Publix app on my phone. She was very helpful and was able to answer any questions that I had. So why didn't they tell me to download the app at the Lilburn location? That was all they had to do instead of telling me that it had to do with my cell phone carrier. Also, the brunette lady does not demonstrate proper customer service, and I work in customer service. I will be using my new Publix location from now on, because they...
Read moreI like this publix and the people that work here are always helpful, but every time I need a prescription filled I have to do a back and forth with them and my doctor's office. Doctor tells me they sent a prescription, pharmacy tells me they don't have it and to call the doctor. I call the doctor, doctor tells me they sent the prescription. I call the pharmacy and they say they don't have it. Repeat ad nauseam. This happens with every prescription from every practice I've been to. It is a problem with Publix's pharmacy software, it doesn't refresh often enough to see new prescriptions in a timely manner. I like the publix pharmacy, but if you need a prescription urgently, I would recommend sending it to a...
