I had an incredibly stressful and nerve racking experience at this place, and the way the situation was handled by the staff member was completely unacceptable. A situation that was already difficult for both me and the other party involved was unnecessarily escalated from 0 to 100 by this individual, making it impossible for me to properly communicate, assist the other party, or exchange information WITH THE OTHER PERSON! After my dog got into an altercation with another personās dogs, she immediately turned hostile towards me, even if the altercation WAS NOBODYāS FAULT! My dog was on a leash that snapped during said altercation, and I had told her previously that she was nervous around dogs and she said she had already put them up. The moment things got out of control, I STEPPED IN IMMEDIATELY TO SEPARATE THEM WHEN ALL SHE COULD DO WAS SCREAM AND RAISE THE TENSION, and it lasted NO MORE than 10 seconds.
Rather than allowing us to resolve the matter calmly, she inserted herself aggressively, cursing at me, insulting me, invading my personal space and getting in my despite multiple requests to back away, and taking photos of my license plate, my and up close to my face. She was asking for my identification, that she had no right asking for since it was not her business. I had already told the other party I would send them a scanned file of my ID the moment we exchanged numbers. DESPITE my apologetic behavior and immediate cooperation with the other party, where she was in NO WAY involved, her behavior continued, as she got up close to my space as an intimidation tactic and placed her hands inches from my face. At no point did I return the same behavior, and I was trying to avert my attention into letting the other party know I would follow to the vet and keep contact in case anything happens, since my dog was not majorly hurt. Her hostility left me shaken and later IN TEARS, something I do not take lightly. I am under a minor and I was alone, and she called another grown man to come out. I was harassed and intimidated. Luckily, after hearing what I had to say, the other man did not talk to me anymore. The other party involved and I were trying to handle things respectfully, but her outburst and intimidation tactics made it impossible. The other party was telling her that everything was fine, to leave me alone and stop trying to call law enforcement for something that unfortunately happens often. That person was already incredibly stressed, I kept on speaking to them in a calm demeanor to avoid them from panicking like I already was, despite being pushed back and insulted every time I tried to help by this woman who was not involved. Anyone there could see she made the situation traumatizing for both the people and animals involved. She even shamed me for asking for a refund on the side, since I was not planning to use their services after the way I was treated, which is well within my right and did not take ANYTHING away from the fact that I was being cooperative despite being in the middle of a panic attack myself.
If this is how quickly she lashes out at people, I can only imagine how she treats uncooperative dogs under her care. This is a MAJOR red flag!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone who acts this way in public most definitely does it when nobody is watching. I had seen another review about abuse, and after this encounter, I can see whoās responsible. No one should have to deal with this level of unprofessionalism and harassment at a business. A place that is dedicated to dogs should have policies in place when these happen, singling out someone and harassing and assaulting them thinking that you are helping only shook everyone up. Because of this experience, I will take the necessary steps to report to the authorities and would strongly caution others before engaging with this establishment. She can reply however she wants and say whatever, cameras and witnesses are where the truth really lies. Even the other party apologized about her behavior and assured me that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWriting a review after two bad experiences here - roughly 6 months apart. In both cases, we were treated very poorly. The customer service experience is rough. They are extremely disorganized (never seem to be able to find our "file" even though we've been multiple times, never know who we are, or have any notes on what was done in the past for grooming and other details).
For example, the last time we went I asked how long the service would take. They told me 3 hours, so I decided to run errands while I waited for my dog. At the 3 hour point I called to ask if he was ready. They said "almost, he's on the table right now". I assumed that meant he was almost done and I should head over, so I did. When I got there they told me "he's not even on the table yet". Clearly they had no idea which dog was mine by name and no plan or order to their grooming. I asked if he would be done soon and they said yes, so I sat in my car in the parking lot and waited another 45 mins. After that, I went inside and asked again when he would be done and they told me it would still be a while because "he wasn't dry yet". I decided to just go home after waiting around all day. When I got home, they called to say he was done so I had to drive all the way back. Extremely frustrating customer service!
Needless to say it's a waste of your time trying to use this place. On top of that, they are OK with completely shaving double coated dogs which should never be done and the grooming itself is not great. Do not trust this place and just find...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy dog absolutely loves going to pet laundry. She canāt wait to get in the door every time we take her for doggy day care. It makes me feel so much better about boarding her when we travel because I know she has a place where she feels safe and happy and gets plenty of play time, and where the staff always recognize her and say her name as soon we walk in the door. We used to take our other dog (who is no longer with us š¢) for haircuts, but they have gotten a new groomer since then, so I canāt speak to the cuts that he does, but when I have dropped our new dog off for full bath service (everything from a full groom except for the haircut), they always done great, and have also been helpful when Iāve used their self-service baths. The service is very personal and you can definitely feel that you are using a small, local business - for example, one time I forgot to get my dogsā toys when I picked them up from boarding, and instead of calling me to come back and get them, the owner just stopped by my house and dropped them at the front door along with an extra treat for them to munch on. Prices are in line with other grooming/boarding places. Itās also nice to be able to support a black-owned business, but even if that wasnāt something I cared about, I would still love Pet Laundry for...
