Habitat for Humanity's Restore seems to be a great execution for a very worthy cause. Kind of like a thrift store - but the items that are donated are usually from homes that being refurbished - or contractors working on homes and commercial businesses.
You'll find a lot of appliances, furniture, cabinetry, doors, tiling, some home decor items, and what would probably be best described as contractor supplies such as cleaning supplies, adhesives, and various small items.
You can get some great prices and depending what your needs are, it's probably worth a look.
The staff and patrons are all very friendly.

Read moreCalled just after 9 am to inquire about a washing machine. Woman on the phone was incredibly rude and told me she just got in for work and I needed to call back. I asked how long until I should call back and she snipped that she didn't know she needed to get settled in so call back and she hung up. (She should have let it go to message if she wasn't ready to work) Called back at 10 and same woman informed me they have no washers. I asked her to clarify what she said as the phone had broken up and she replied with "I said no!" Not sure why people who hate their job so much don't get new...

More than full retail price on little things like switch plates, hardware, etc? Go here. Even paint! They have just about the worst quality "Barn and fence" paint here for $10 a gallon. You can get quality weatherbeater exterior paint when it's on clearance at the Sears for this price. And I have been in this store several times, it's always like this. Not worth even...
