Dollar Tree — Local services in Muhlenberg Township

There's seems to be a 1 to 10 scale for dollar stores these days when it comes to inventory, cleanliness, and overall presentation. This one, I'd probably rate around a 6 or a 7...

It's not the cleanest or best stocked store but I've seen much much worse.

This store did have some items I've never noticed anywhere else like a dedicated avocado slicing tool for $1.25 or a rubber broom head (the bristles are made of rubber).

The growing trend of dollar stores offering items for more than their standard price (currently the standard is $1.25) - but they have items on shelves marked at $5 so pay attention to the actual price of what you're grabbing.

No fault of the store employees, the increasing issue of "shrinkflation" is on full display with the stocked items. Containers are getting smaller. 4 packs of items are now 2 packs. It's all relative though - even if some items are smaller, you can still save money at the dollar store if you do it right.

The store, like many of its kind, was noticeably understaffed but the cashier was very friendly and personable.

There were some boxes of items that needed to be stocked dispursed around the store - but not nearly as bad as many other dollar...

YOUNGER TEEN GIRLS, BEWARE!! My teen daughter entered by herself while I waited in the parking lot. She grabbed a beverage & waited in line. The cashier clerk kept staring at her & said she couldn’t purchase the beverage (bodyarmor) because she wasn’t 21. She told the clerk it’s a regular drink. The clerk kept haggling with her that she couldn’t purchase the drink due to her age. My daughter told him she can’t tell if he was joking or not because she buys that drink all the time. He proceeds to say “idk am I”, then finally rang up her drink. She leaves the store, gets into my car and told me she felt extremely uncomfortable. After telling me what transpired, I immediately walked in and asked to speak with the manager on duty. Manager then asked if I spoke Spanish I said no and explained in detail that the clerk was highly inappropriate considering my daughter is a minor and the beverage she was purchasing does not require you to be 21 years old. The manager told me it’s okay he does that all the time, he’s just joking. She did not take my concern seriously nor did she say any action will transpire. Absolutely horrible, bought a prepaid debit card and loaded $350.00 onto it. Or at least I thought I did when I gave the money to the assistant manager whom was very rude she loaded it onto a separate prepaid debit card she had behind her register!!!! Her superior did nothing to assist when told about this. It has been over a month and I still do not have access to my $350 I am in talks with corporate and will not rest untill both of them are fired and I get my $350 and if they are not fired IV already placed a retainer for my attorney.
