I was third in line and when it was my turn the cashier told me she would get me on the first register. I noticed a cashier was already on the first register so I went to the first register open beside her.
When she came over she seemed to be replacing the cashier, but paid me no mind. I had to move to the back of the first line and the gentleman in front of me said: "They are playing musical chairs with you.". I said she is playing some kind of game, and I'm not happy about it.
When it was almost my turn another cashier opened the next register and said she could help me there. I stated to her that I was going to stay in my line.
When I was finally getting checked out I told her that it was disrespectful how she treated me and she did apologize, but I had stepped to the side so she told me to unload my basket. I refused and told her that she was going to unload it for making me go to the back of another line.
In a smart tone she said: "Company policy states that customers have to unload their own baskets.". When I realized she was not going to do it I walked back over and started unloading. I told her that she had a real attitude problem and that I should speak to a manager.
When the manager came over she started unloading so I told her that I didn't want her to do the cashiers job. She tried to insist but I said she shouldn't have to do that because of the cashier having an attitude. I said I would take over but she would have to deal with my attitude at that point.
Out of 15 years of consistently shopping at UGO I have never been treated so rudely. I am leaving a four star review because overall it has been a great place for me to get deals and there is no other instances like what happened...
Read moreI just encountered the rudest cashier & manager ever! I asked the cashier, Dorothy who was seated at the register how her day was? She snapped back at me, DONT ASK!" WOW I thought. I normally would ask to speak with the manager about her nasty attitude ( she never even said Hello), however the female manager was standing 2 feet away from her! SMDH! The store manager didn't even make a comment about her attitude nor even said HI to me. After ringing up over $100 worth of groceries, I told both of them that I didn't like the fact that I couldn't see any of the prices that were being rung up. The manager replied, "They are right there" as she pointed to the tiny print on the register. I explained that since they posted papers all across the plastic barrier (think covid separation wall) that it is impossible to even see the register nor the prices in small font. No response from either of the "ladies". I've only been here once before & was impressed with the store's prices. However, no sales price is worth the rude and unacceptable encounter that I just had. I'm a firm believer that when you clock in for your job, that you leave your home problems & bad attitudes outside of work. Shame on both of them that should lose their jobs. They just lost this shopper who spent way more money then anyone...
Read moreCame in on Monday thinking I got great deals for items only to realize everything expired in March and May. And the meat would expire in 2 days, after going in trying to return the items I was greated by the manager with a very rude and sarcastic attitude who told me they get items out of expiration on purpose and the can continue to sell them for 3-4 months after . He then refused to give me a refund on the meat because the receipt was dated for Sunday ( I can not control the date they have entered on their registers). After going back and forth, him telling me that I should just cook it before it. I would not recommend this store to anyone and management needs a complete...
