Today, I had an experience that I am still profoundly troubled by through and through. Myself and an extended family member who is preparing to go to prom visited this Murrieta Ross store, we proceeded to the dress section and identified 4 dresses for prom that she could try on to see if they fit well. We proceeded to the back area of the store where the dressing rooms are. Upon entering that section, I looked around to see if there was any staff to assist us with the dresses, seeing no one, I began to call out for help thinking that maybe the staff was in the back section. Seeing no staff member still, I then looked to see if there was a sign that says the dressing rooms were closed. There was NO FORWARD FACING SIGN THAT SAYS THE AREA WAS CLOSED. Needless to say, we were confronted by a security guard with a poor attitude that said we were not supposed to be in this section and that it was closed and that we need to leave the store. I was mortified as this has NEVER happened to me in my life. I then explained to her that we were not aware the area was closed off and how unfair it was that we were being treated in this manner. I spoke to the manager and shared with her our experience and explained to her that the store has a responsibility to ensure their customers are aware of essential info like this, she said "well it's been like this since COVID-19", I shared with her that there are an abundance of consumers who have not really been out shopping since COVID-19 and don't know this information which is why they should have signage that is HIGHLY VISIBLE that says the dressing rooms are off limits. I feel they should do a better job of serving their consumers in a way that is not only HUMAN, but informing. They need to help their consumers by putting up highly visible signage, make store announcements that the area is closed, have staff near the area to help consumers who may...
Read moreI’ve been shopping at this Ross for a couple years now, and the service is always mediocre. There was have a lot of people in line not enough employees to take care of the customer and now they went to the self checkouts, which is not efficient and redundant. my biggest grape is my experience I had on 1/27/23 around 7pm. My nephew went there to buy deodorant, body wash, they usually have a good prices. while standing in the aisle a female employee walked by and looked at us seem to be a manager as she was walking around doing nothing giving orders. Next thing you know one loss prevention officer walked by us then we went to look at the shirts and some other employee came around us. Then again another employee came around me when I was looking at shirts acting like he was organizing clothes did nothing and walked away fairly quickly. it was obvious they were profiling us as shoplifters, which is outrageous, just because we are brown Latinos Does it mean we’re going to steal or shoplift? No doubt in my mind that it will profiling us as potential shoplifters for no apparent reason other than being brown Latino while shopping being profiled by other brown Latinos working there. Just shameful behavior! My first reaction was to react just decided to take the high road and get the hell out of there after my purchase. I hope they change your policy not to follow people on the store and thinking that every brown Latinos gonna steal . not all of us are criminals many of us live a life free of criminal...
Read moreCurrent employees have HORRIBLE customer service! It's really sad I've been noticing this crummy, disrespectful behavior in almost all stores I go in the past year. When inventory and the books are done and when it shows that sales have completely plummeted just know that it is a direct result from these employees. If nothing changes with the current staff I predict this location most likely won't be in business within the next year or two. For example if your location closes let's just say at 11, and in comes a customer walking through the doors at 10:45 that customer should be treated with kindness and respect!! Don't you people know that you're still on the clock and are supposed to be serving customers until close that means that you should still be friendly and helpful for another 15 minutes. But no don't expect this at this location. These young stuck up employees seem to all team up and try to force customers out of the store (way before closing time ) using what feels like bullying and intimidation tactics. If I remember correctly the cashier was a african american girl probably in her 20s a caucasian male in his 20s and the other girl was hispanic I think and also most likely in her 20s. Hopefully things can change but people like this I highly doubt it is possible. I usually don't ever write reviews like this but I am just so sick of workers like this thinking they can treat customers this way! Don't forget we are the reason that you guys have the jobs...
