Our family is all about keeping business local, so that is what we wanted to do when we bought our new home and needed new appliances. What started off as a good encounter quickly turned bad. We bought a new stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher, spent over 4k with B & S. Move in day come and they delivered our appliance the following day. The refrigerator came scratched and dented on the side, the dishwasher and microwave were also scratched. They said they would order replacement parts for the fronts on the appliances. Here we are 2 months later and have not received those. We asked about the dent and we were told that there was nothing they could do about that. (Pretty Crappy if you ask me since it's suppose to be brand new. Now lets get to the real issue we have had with B & S. The dishwasher was installed, was NOT properly installed and leaked water all over our kitchen floor and leaked into the room in the basement below. Completely ruining our ceiling and one entire wall in the room below. The electric went out in that room as well. It caused over 2k in damage. Granted they have insurance to cover this, but what should have been a happy time for our family, turned into a nightmare. It took them 2 weeks, yes 2 weeks to even turn the claim into insurance and then it took another week for some one to even call us about coming out and accessing the damage. Keep in mind you can't do anything to the damage until it's be assessed. Then add an additional week on top of that for that person to even turn in the paper work to their the insurance. So we are now sitting at a month out from the damage. This should NOT be happening! The customer service we received was absolutely awful. We had to consult with a lawyer on what steps to take because they were not returning phone calls, where mysteriously "on a phone call" "or with a customer" or "not in the office" EVERY time that we called. So here we are 2 months later, with our room finally fixed, 3 dishwashers later and appliances that are still scratched. Great Customer Service at it's finest. DO NOT BUY FROM...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. My fiance purchased a dryer a year ago from them. Our dryer quit drying a month before the warranty expired. We called and asked them to come repair. The repair man said to take a cotton ball and wipe a sensor when it stops working after barely looking at it. This did not work, so we called them back and scheduled before our warranty was set to expire. They called and cancelled us twice in this time..so we were without a dryer for over a month. He then came and said our heat sensor was out and it would be $260. We asked why it wouldn’t be covered under warranty and were told it expired. We explained the situation and were told it would be covered due to circumstance. Dryer was fixed and now we received a bill for $260. I called and spoke with a manager explaining we had texts saying this would be covered and she rudely stated she was “afraid this was our bill because warranty was expired.” We have texts saying they would cover it. Burns and sons doesn’t stand behind their service or their word. They don’t have a good repair man or customer service. We used them because we wanted to support a small business, but we will...
Read moreThis company is a joke — The oven in my rental unit didn’t work when I moved in, so my landlord came to inspect it, where they found that the igniter had been taken out of it, so they said they’d contact Burns to order a new one. I called my landlord every week to check the status, but every week they were waiting for Burns to let them know about the part. Fast forward 2 months, I STILL don’t have a working oven, my landlord calls to let me know Burns wants to come look at the oven. So I let them in, the guy is there all of 15 minutes and says to me, we don’t work on this brand (Premier) of oven and I can’t even get a part for it. WHY DIDN’T YOU SAY SOMETHING SOONER??? I went months without an almost essential appliance. Oh and ALL OF THEM are SUPER rude every time I have spoken to them. I do not recommend doing...
