Nice market in downtown off E. 5th Street. First time here, so I was pleasantly surprised that it was a little bigger then I expected. Since moving here from Oregon, all the farmers markets I've been to are rather small and I'm used to huge markets back home. This one did have a nice variety of products, from fresh bread, to awesome pickles, some really hot hot sauce, to other goods, like homemade soap made from goats milk, to yummy baked goods and even someone who sharpens knives. I liked the guy who grows food without tilling the soil....that was cool. If you are used to buying your food at your nearest grocery store with sale prices, be aware the product prices will shock you. But be picky, walk through the market first and see what's there, then pick out the best vendor for your needs. Very welcoming and friendly people organized this weekly event, as people from every background could come together and enjoy the goods provided by farmers. Apart from farmers selling goods, you will also find entrepreneurs selling their products which is a good/bad thing depending on your views. Not much variety though in the products offered by farmers may be due to the seasonal produce. Overall, its a good outing for the family but would like to see many more options...

And I drank it black with no bitterness, and the Naperville bakery apple turnover was delish! I was impressed to see a fresh seafood truck, and I purchased homemade giardiniera, pepperoncini peppers and olive muffalata. Cant wait...
