LGBTQ+ community is not welcomed here. They found any excuse to pick on me when all I tried to do was be better, stay away from my phone (instead i would color, read, do homework during the free time, etc.), and try to be chill with everyone. The owners are unprofessional and passive aggressive and even continued to talk about me after I left the job.(I laughed when they called me lazy.. maybe if they didn’t treat employees like a number, you’d know a little more about me) They aren’t interested in the things I did outside of work. I would do things without them even asking and clearly they didn’t notice. I would organize things in alphabetical order and ACTUALLY clean the entire register. I’ve been caught lacking a couple times I’ll admit, but it was for small things like playing music when I found out my dad was getting a life threatening surgery, but of course they didn’t care. I’m not embarrassed for being myself, I’m actually quite embarrassed I used my valuable time surrounded by low vibrational people who were unhappy with their own lives. Overaged men would get extremely close to me, even one offered me a ride home over 4 times. I wasted my weekends here instead of working less hours and enjoying my youth. Everyone had their clicks here and when I made a friend, it was “distracting”. They wouldn’t let me go on break with one coworker since they thought I was into her romantically. They found any excuse to separate us. They didn’t let us go on break together when we had the same shift (as they normally do with everyone else). This was the only person that would console me when I would cry in the bathrooms about my bad days. Unfortunately, they judged a book by a cover. I have a boyfriend, but this whole situation is absurd. The owner couldn’t even come up to my face to fire me himself, he left someone else in charge and he didn’t even tell me why. I left happily and said peace out. (even if i don’t ask, shouldn’t there be a concise clear reason?)They usually tell employees when they are short and my register has never been short. Employees come here high and they don’t even care, but I actually cared enough to be focused. Unnecessary drama plays out here, even girls my age tried to get me to scan alcohol while the supervisor was in the bathroom. They threatened to ruin my bike (my only method of transportation) since I rejected one of their brothers after he was constantly pressuring me into hanging out/having sex. I cant stay quiet for any longer, I don’t need this job back, I want justice. And I...
Read moreI visitied this location on 1/20/21 during the afternoon. I am only giving this place 3 stars solely on the variety of different ethnic foods they carry. The workers are not friendly or helpful. The young lady sitting at the customer service desk that day, with the dark curly hair, has a very nasty unpleasant attitude. I was told she was the "manager" by one of the cashiers. When I approached the counter I said hello and proceeded to ask my question, she looked at me like I needed special permission to address her, nor did she greet me. I asked if she was the manager or something of that nature because her nasty attitude took me aback. I asked if there were more locations and she said no! So I just walked away thinking I will never go to that store again. I get home, look on the grocery bag and noticed they actually do have 2 more locations, one in Mundelein and the other in buffalo Grove. I called her bk just to inform her that she had given me incorrect information, that there are in fact 2 more Garden Fresh locations, she again snaps me up saying, "yes, but their are different owners, prices..etc!! I wanted to tell her ok, but they ALL carry the same things! I called the Mundelein location and they actually had what I was looking for in stock. I wanted to tell her Burger King may have different owners however, they all just about sell the same thing! The store is huge I am sure I looked confused looking around, workers walked right by me and did not once offer any assistance. Customer service can improve and the customer service manager needs training. Not a good experience and more than likely I will not...
Read moreGreat place to shop for groceries. I’m of Russian descent & Fresh Market has allot of similar to our culture products such as bread, kielbasa, cheese, kids snack, juices, cakes, cookies, herbs, tea & lots more of other stuff. Always fresh, always abundant. Love this place & the only grocery store I go to though I have tried other places but always return here. Great staff, very friendly & hard working. The store is clean and has attentive customer service. Wish they had some sort of senior discounts for elderly, but they don’t. Regardless we mainly shop here for food. Here and Aldi. Highly recommended!!!!
Just visited the market today 8/21/23, they had a bunch of stuff on sale & my personal favorite “Raspberries” were $.99 /box. Which is tough to find lately in surrounding grocery stores. Made some more photos for you guys.
Additional info added 5/14/2024: I think this might help for other nationalities. I took effort to go through all the isles of the store and I noticed multi-nationality products dedicated to Asian & Indian origin. Just as I noticed customs of all sort. They also opened up a Halal restaurant within main course as shawarma wraps at the store where Sushi place used to be and trust me when I say the lines there are crazy, every day. I guess the food is good. I never ordered anything but I do occasionally buy the tasty amazingly scented sheesh-kebob the chicken, it’s the softest. I also see allot of people dining in at their small tables. But that’s good, that means the...
