This is definitely a local joint. Old men sitting at the bar watching the game in a low lit setting. Though I also saw two different large families gather here amongst the many TVs playing different games.
When you enter there is a strong smell of deep fryers. Though to me the smell was not that of freshly deep fried food, but of over used oil. This may just be due to the many years of frying this place has seen. It was in the twenties outside and we were cold at our booth so everyone had their coats on to be comfortable.
The food was good. I had the Reuben with onion rings.
The service suffered from the fact that the bar tender was also waiting on the tables. They did as well...

I also miss the breaded green peppers which were a staple for me. Friday night fish fry is no longer all you can eat. Menu has been neutered quite a bit since COVID, which is to be expected of most food establishments.

She looked at us and went about her business and completely ignored us and not even saying a word. Making us feel completely unwelcome. There was no waitress.
