My experience was beyond bias and unprofessional belief, 5-10 seconds after standing in front of the two young male hostess. As I stood there with my protective mask covering on. I got look at, looked pass,, looked over. Yawned at, looked down at, looked away from and then he looked me in eyes and yawned again. This young guy with the medium dark hair. He never even bothered to cover up doing any time he was yawning. I got no type of verbal greeting as to a hi, hello, how are you, can I help you, how many. Neither one of these two young boys even made an attempt to pick up a menu for seating me. I got no professional hospitality from these two guys at all. After this time had passed a white couple came in and one of the guys snapped up a menu as the couple entered. The boy with the medium dark color hair stepped back away from me and around me to greet this couple and requested that they follow him. That’s when I interrupted with several “excuse me” to ask why is he taking them before me . He stated he didn’t know what I was here for and that he didn’t know what I want. I asked the two boys why wouldn’t either of them trying to service me and they just looked at each other back & forth but didn’t answer me. An adult woman came up to check in counter where we all are. She squeezed under the other guy with the thick long curly hair right arm side. To softly speak asking. What was the problem. Since he did not respond. She ask again so I repeated the situation to her. I end up leaving due being made to feel disgusted, disappointment, blindsided, & discriminate against at this point, from these two boys actions / treatment. This was not an easy like Sunday morning day at all, for my opinion of my experience at this cafe. I chose to go to this pancake.restaurant to support small business, in my beautiful West Napervill suburban community. But, was unfortunately...

This family owned piece of Americana is absolutely one of the best breakfast and lunch old timey American restaurants I've been to. And I've been to a lot. The granddaughter Christina, was pretty, intellectual, engaging, and very thought-provoking concerning the future. This family owned facility is full of love and built on hard work and an insatiable drive to give the community something of quality.
Don't let the fancy joints fool you, they charge twice as much, and put down places that are tried and true. When some new sheeple arrives on the scene, with their snoot in the air, and puts down those that have plowed the road for them, that's pretty sad. And obnoxious!
My wife my sister and myself enjoyed our breakfast. There was enough food to feed six people not just three. The pancakes were delicious The omelets are fantastic, (and huge) an order of sausage is actually four links which is extremely rare anywhere now. I love the wheat toast,(Brownberry)' You get enough butter for everything! My wife ordered some Canadian bacon and she loved it. The orange juice was fresh squeezed, literally! Some pulp, and a lot of flavor. You couldn't ask for better. And the specialty coffees are through the roof Good! Their regular coffee is no slouch either. Prices are very fair for what you get. It really is a feast. This establishment has been around since the entire area was corn fields, so that tells you, the type of food you're going to get, and eat like farmers eat. Working folk! I'll tell you you won't be disappointed. 😄
Oh and by the way, naugahyde?
Some of the most delicious outback food joints have naugahyde seats. Why is that a problem? My 280 million views say it's not a...
Read moreFirst time here and it was a memorable experience. First off, the atmosphere is cozy, clean, and welcoming and all the staff we interacted with were pleasant and attentive. My mom and I were seated quickly and had hot coffee at our table within minutes. Mom ordered an omelet with fresh asparagus and swiss with hash browns; I tried the omelet and it was fluffy, moist, and the asparagus was really good. I ordered a German pancake not really knowing what to expect (I did did a quick google at the table beforehand and thought, "yeah, let's try this"). What I got was a MONSTER pancake. It was bigger than my face! I had to ask the waitress how to eat it because I was a little overwhelmed, to be honest. She suggested squeezing a lemon (provided) and more powdered sugar on it. That was perfect! It was the right about if sweet and bright from the lemon. I also drizzled syrup on it and that was even better. My only criticism is that it would be nice to have the option to add fresh berries or bananas too it because that would have been perfect. (This may have been an option if I asked the waitress, but I didn't and I didn't see it on the menu.) Also, the hash browns had onions in them too and that was excellent. This is now my perfect breakfast restaurant. Go there and give this...
